Glad that the LLama has bounced back!

Don't forget to go via Topcashback when you get your car insurance. Tesco is paying about £40 at the moment (+ Clubcard points, of course!).

Worth checking quotes from the companies which aren't included in price comparison sites, too (eg Direct Line, paying around £45 on TCB, Aviva, paying around £50) as they sometimes beat the price comparison quotes. I'm sure there must be an MSE guide.

    ETA. It's here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/car-insurance/

Glad you're feeling brighter Levi. :)

As greyfox said, don't forget cashback for the car insurance too if it's offered.

^^ That's great Greyfox, it's by all this combining of shopping around and cashback sites that the battle is won!!

If you have time, the stamina and determination Levi you could also check the other comparison sites...eg the meerkat one and the tenor singing in a caf! one LOL!!!! Apparently they often come up with different best buys so worth a look.

Great you've had that extra sleep and felt so much better for it:j xxx

^ I'm guessing it means he's having a brilliant time, but it must be horrible for you when that happens:o

Are his grandparents keeping in touch with you regularly?

Thinking of you honey, hope all's well back at work & let's see what happens this evening with your little guy xxxx

Levi, don't worry about LL not wanting to speak to you, it just shows he is having a good time. Kids miss people differently than adults do and don't need to chack in quite so much as adults do most of the time.

A couple of years ago, my DD had a week with my parents, she didn't speak to me once on the phone and then cried when I picked her up as she 'didn't want to go home'.By the end of the journey she was telling me how much she'd missed me and how much of a good time she'd had.

It's kinda like when kids are doing something fun and they don't want to stop doing that just to eat lunch and get cross when you interrupt them and make them sit down to eat. It doesn't mean they don't like food anymore, it just means they are busy doing fun stuff.

No sad face Levi, you should be happy that LL is having a good time. :)

    thanks guys :)
we'll try again tonight but yep his grandparents are staying in touch with good detailed emails about his antics ;)
I'm sure its nothing too personal, yesterday he didn't want to come on Skype because he was watching TV! lol

Question for ya'll..... working tax credits (yep, that again!).. i had my predicted figures through yesterday for year 2016-2017, which puts me about £80 higher per month than now, but in light of the Budget announcement yesterday to "freeze all tax credits for 4 years" does this mean I won't get those predicted figures for next year? I was pretty pleased when I opened the letter to see what I might get next year as £80 is a big difference per month but.. doesn't look like it will come true now due to the announcement... or am I barking up the wrong tree? No good at these things as you may have realised ;) xx

Think it will change, as the amount you can earn before you are entitled to WTC is dropping so, you will lose 43p for every £1 you earn over the threshold....

I would just budget on this years amount and wait for the renewal for 2016/2017 amount...

I think I will have to start squirrelling more money away while I can, as I will lose out when the threshold reduces.... and I'm classed as a low earner....

Picking on the poor/disabled and families....
