I was due to go originally for a week for a holiday and bring him back but due to my money circumstance I've had to slide out of it..:( it's still a little bit up in the air but I think he will be coming back with his Grandpa or his Uncle/Aunt or both..I wish I could go get him though.. I have told them it's due to work as they don't know how bad my finances are (if they did they would probably try to take LL from me)..xx

    Hey Levi

Sorry I've not been round for a while. I've had a little read back but got a lot to catch up on. LL trip away sounds amazing. I'm sure LL will have his ups and downs but he'll love his trip and have a wonderful time. Then come back and tell you all about it.
I'm gonna have to go on a hunt for the llama book now and post it to a good friend of mine. We grew up together and through our teens stumbled across the llama song..... needless to say we drove everybody mad with it. (if you haven't heard it type llama song into youtube!) ah memories

Haaaaaa!!! I LOVE both the books. It is like they were written by you ;) the titles anyway!! :heart2:

I am sorry you don't feel like you can trust his American family to back you up and have to hide things. That must cause you even more stress, especially on top of the worry that he is going to like it so much over there he will want to stay.

I do hope you know, and remind yourself every minute... You are his big steady rock of a dad. You're the one who let him sleep in your bed when he was scared. And got him superman pyjamas and a marvel duvet set to ward off the monsters so he could eventually sleep on his own, safe in the knowledge you are there. He is going to miss you.. a LOT. And though he will have an amazing time, come back full of stories and excitement, the one thing that will never ever change is that he is coming back to you. And he will be so excited. And full of things to tell you. But it doesn't change a thing. This is his home and his American family can't ever provide him with what you can. You are his dad. NO replacing that.

    Love you lots xxx

Agree totally with Lilty. Don't know the circumstances and not for me to know, but you are his dad and always will be. I am sure his grandparents will see that you are doing an amazing job - money helps but is not everything. Xx

The renewal form is atrocious. Short, but atrocious. I can't cope :(
It is apparently relating to my claim between 16 March 2015 and 05 April 2015? So like.. less than a month? Inside the form it asks for my income before tax for the whole year of April 2014 to April 2015... so I got that off my P60.. BUT LILT :( .. the amount I earn since March 2015 is lower than it was during all of 2014..and they have been awarding me on that amount (I only started to claim at all this March just gone). My salary difference is about -£3.5k. But as it is asking for the year gone past a lot of that time my money was higher than it is now, and if they calculate using that figure, won't my award me wrong for the coming year?
Urghhh I've confused myself again now just writing that down. :( It probably doesn't make any sense. But.
Will I have to pay them hundreds back? Should I enclose the letter that states my award based on the new (lower) salary I told them about not long ago? Should I chuck myself out the window?

  • Don't chuck yourself anywhere ((hugs)) Lilty will be along shortly (send her a PM).. It'll get sorted, & even if you have been overpaid - and I don't know that you have - they can't demand it all in one go. Deep breaths. And lots of love xxxx
