    Loving the sunflower names. Brilliant.

I don't know much about payday loans but feel the same as the others. Absolute last resort??

No drama on the payday loan. I was being a bit irrational and panicky last night (what's new there:cool:) and having revisited figures I can make it work by just not paying as much as I hoped to the credit cards and by marginally putting myself under less pressure for a month or two, but still make headway. You won't see my credit card balances drop for a couple of months as the interest on CC1 is making progress more or less null and I am having to use another for petrol while I try and get my overdraft reigned in as top priority.

In the mood for a listy post so here goes:
    • Positives (today):
    • Having Lidl pizza for tea and it's the cheapest, tastiest pizza in town
    • The sun is out and the sunflowers are drinking it in
    • I set Luca up some christmas fairy lights in his room that someone had thrown in the bin - I realise this makes me a complete WOMBLE but I only had to replace a couple of bulbs, they work fine, look nice and he is chuffed with them.
    • (Wimbledon Common here I come).
    • A friend got in touch last night and invited me out next Saturday (30th)
    • Payday is only a week away.
    • I have done my CBT homework and actually absorbed info from the session yesterday from the homework.
    • Cleaned the inside of my car.
    • Finally put all the CDs in my car into the wallet thing.. tidy at last.
    • Tidied and reorganised some stuff in the living room.
    • Cleaned.

Had to take LL to the Dr at 9:00am and ended up keeping him at home today. Nothing wrong but he is having a bad patch emotionally and is a little run down physically and has been losing weight and not sleeping. The Dr has recommended some vitamins and I gave him a restful day. Sometimes I forget he isn't even 4.5yrs old and he is dealing with lots and is such a trooper. :A

Greyfox also put me in touch with Winstons Wish who seem awesome and reminded me to get back in touch with CRUSE at times like this who are also amazing. We will muddle through this as we do everything else.

Love you all.................. mammoth amounts x

PS: Mars & Step & Humming & Greyfox & MeandO.........thank you so much for the extra messages last night and all the ongoing support. :heart2:

  • Glad to hear you're feeling better. I had thought of a whole list to post but is redundant as you've decided against payday loan. However, I am going to share some scrimpy meals with you;

    Pizza

    Self-Raising flour
    Water
    A little oil or butter
    Tomato Paste
    Cheese
Whatever toppings you have in the house

Mix self-raising flour with water to make a dough (would love to be specific about amounts but I always guess). Roll out to the size of frying pan. Heat a little butter (works best if you have it) or oil in the pan. Fry the dough (both sides) to get your pizza base. Spread tomato paste on top, add cheese and any other toppings, pop under the grill until cheese is bubbling. Eat.
(Takes me about 15 mins start to finish to make)

    Poor Mans Chilli

    1 tin baked beans
1 tin hotdogs (cheap as you like)
    Rice.

Chop up the hotdogs, mix with the tin of beans and heat. Serve over cooked rice. Serves 2 (well, it does me 2 meals).

    Shortbread type biscuits

    1 oz sugar
2 oz butter (or marg or whatever you have)
    3 oz flour

Rub the butter with the flour until it looks like breadcrumbs, add the sugar, mix through then squidge together to make a dough (you shouldn't need to add water but do if it's too dry to hold together). Make little balls of dough then flatten them on a greased baking sheet. Bake in oven about Gas Mark 6 for around 10 mins (they should be just turning golden - if you can smell them then they are probably done). Let cool on baking sheet for at least 5 mins before moving to wire cooling rack (if you have one).
This is a base recipe so you can add pretty much any flavourings you want to to these.

Hope these help. Let me know if you want more :)

If LL likes fruit juice, try using Dalivit drops in that. Not too expensive - we get them on prescription. xx

    Hey sunshine

So glad to hear you decided against the payday loan. Definitely a short term solution that creates a long term problem.

Love the sunflower names, bless Luca he is such a sweetheart. Sounds like the Sunflowers will help him perk up and relax, as will those Christmas lights you clever daddy womble :D

Good idea to have you both at home enjoying nice restful day. 4 and a half is really very small and he is doing so well.

Today Jellytot was talking to Nanny on the phone. Nanny asked what she had had for dinner. She put on her most serious face thinking about it, finger on bottom lip and everything and said 'Erm, water and ingredients and FOOD!' :rotfl: gotta love three year olds.

Sending you lots of big hugs and squishes. Sorry I am not around. I am trying to obey the outdoor clock (the sun!) so am going to bed a wee bit earlier the last few nights.

    :D xxx
