    Good morning!
    Already getting error messages today...

    - Windows Event Log has stopped working (check online and restart) - task bars and toolbar backgrounds change to white and grey.

    - Windows Problem Reporting has stopped working.

    - IE has stopped working (check online for a solution and restart)

I looked under system info and it says that on my HDD (C:) - I have 98.5GB free of 141GB
    (file system is NTFS).

Browntoa, the pc came with Norton on it (now expired), Vista Windows Basic Welcome Centre has stay protected on Internet 100% and Windows Firewall and Windows Defender on - also ccleaner and superantispyware.

Should I turn off windows firewall and defender and how?
Sorry to start your Saturdays with problems.:o
    Many thanks for your time.
    Much Love,
    Tiff xxx

The Vista firewall is fine (as opposed to the rubbish Xp one) ,

Vista's just got a few compatability problems still and some bugs that they could do with sorting (sidebar crashing and mail problems)

it's ok to run without protection when nortons is off, we need to see if the errors go on a reboot

is this a Dell PC ??
