Tracking / Ebay refund Case

i sold an item on the 15th of jan on ebay (1st in over 4 years)

it was going overseas and dueto its reasonable value and location i chose royal mail signed for

now the buyer has opened a paypal case as it hasnt arrived. And i dont know were i stand anymore

the tacking with royal mail is RU746188099GB (just says its being processed and has done for nearly 3 weeks)

item was my sons 2nd helmet which he got at xmas and didnt want 2 so i sold for him and gave the money to him Sold on ebay in total with overseas P+P £50 so obv my paypal balance is now -£47 ish

does anyone know who would win the case

any help would be appreciated guys

Which country was it going to, and which signed for service did you use ?

I would phone Royal Mail and see if they can find anything out about its whereabouts. As it stands your tracking doesn't show delivery, so they will find in the buyers favour

another question re a CHARGEBACK with paypal - item sent 2nd signed for and delivered yet they opned paypal case for unauthorised transaction

though visable signature from buyer who opned case is on royal mails site

have a read of the sticky postage thread . For unathorised use of a card claim you need to show proof of posting, not proof of delivery. So assuming you have the Orange signed for slip, scan and upload that to the case.

Keep on at PayPal though once you've uploaded your proof as they can be slow. I had one recently and won the case within 6 days.

Chargebacks are different, and imho easier.

Do you have the certificate of posting?

If so upload that and point Paypal to their user agreement for seller protection re chargebacks (section 11.7 https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full?locale.x=en_GB#11)

If you have the tracking (as it seems you do) upload the screenshot to the case too.
