You will have your kitchen fund before you know it. Well done.

I am having the hall painted just now and the place is starting to feel more like home.

Hi thanks for saying that I hope so.

Blimey have you read the nasty stuff that is being written after Martin Lewis's comment that he is going to do a write up on the pros and cons of Brexit? Flippin heck every troll in the UK is having a go. I cant believe how much hatred people have I have people say nasty stuff at work too. Worrying. Glad I am an economist.

  • I think the debate is going to become as nasty as the Scottish Referendum did towards the end :( I'm very much in the middle, but I'm not even telling people that as I can see the kind of argument that will also lead to.

At this rate I'm going to show up at the polling station but will spoil my ballot paper.

This is such an important issue, our votes on Europe will have tremendous implications for the UK in the next few years.

Voting is a privilege and is something we should be enjoying - researching and debating our future - instead it's embarrassing seeing how low people are stooping.

In the future, if someone studies the so- called Referendum newspaper articles and campaign leaflets we will be judged as ignorant and intolerant and easily manipulated.

How terribly sad. I don't want the UK to be viewed like this. We are a civilised nation, I am grieving because I don't always see it when I read the papers or hear conversations. People are repeating half- truths without researching facts- Chinese whispers gone mad. It's grim because history does repeat itself. Frightening times.

The tactics of the gutter spring to mind from both sides. Why do things always seem to go to the lowest possible level?

It is frighteningly familiar to what happened in Scotland and I do not even want to think about Austria.

On a more homely level my kitchen is being ripped out next week  and once I get that done I can start unpacking properly and stocking up so I don't have to be constantly going to the local shop and have a well stocked freezer and cupboards and can cook from scratch again.

Hurrah for new kitchen. I am soooooo envious. Weather is glorious but I was at work all day and didn't see it lol.

I am going to Lymington to see the boys tomorrow with my dear friend who I see every holiday if poss as she works crazy hours (we are celebrating her birthday late - as per usual for me). We hope to make the most of the fab weather and visit the market and do a little walking in the New Forest. Then we are car booting on Sunday with John the builder.

My friend has just gone I hope she enjoyed herself. The boys really looked after us in Lymington and the weather was glorious when we walked on the Marina and market.

The car boot show was lovely and the weather was fab- I bought some lovely photograph frames (2 x £2 each) and a new picture (£2) to go above my white sofa for the kitchen. I think it really opens the room up. We spent Sunday chilling in the garden. Glorious.

I didn't tell my employer I had changed my current account till after the deadline so I think I have been paid into my old bank account and am waiting for M&S to switch it over. I have temporarily transferred the money in from the kitchen fund so I am not overdrawn. lol.

I just dived out for 10 mins and potted the last of my pelargoniums, some new daises and a few other bits and bobs in an old pot recovered from garage. This will be going out in the front garden when the weather clears to join the petunias.

I am going out with parents tomorrow and will collect marking and do it over the remainder of the holiday. It shouldn't take long hopefully as I did most of it over term time.

The weather is rainy and yuck but that is probably great for the garden. I am grateful for the lovely summer weather we had over the long weekend. Yay.

I am waiting for handyman to hang a picture up for me in the kitchen - it needs raw plugs which sounds rather complicated for me. Once this is done then the kitchen is going to be a cheery place for me as I wait for the summer to begin.

Ok so I was naughty I have just ordered a jacket from fleabay at a bargain price. You can never have too many red clothes. It cost £28 which is a saving of £110. I have exactly £100 left for food and £75 for everything else this month. I will be good. I have to be.

My lovely red jacket came. It is casual but smart. Well to make up for yesterday and not spending any money I have just spent about £50 on another jacket but this is much smarter. I am sooooo ashamed but glad. A lady can never have too many red jackets.

I am going to hide in a corner now. But I am happy.:EasterBun
