Just met up with friends and went to see 'Eddie the Eagle' Film and also had a meal and bought some toiletries. Spent £50 in total. (Twenty five pounds spent on toiletries, £6 bus fare, and £20 on food and kind friend bought ticket).
'Eddie the Eagle' was excellent. If anyone wants to see a fab motivational film about hard work, determination & triumph in spite of prejudice & snobbery this is a great uplifting film. A great afternoon's viewing.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

I was supposed to take my niece to the shops but we cancelled as it rained. I have just put my books into cardboard boxes and have decided I will give them to charity as I can't imagine anyone will pay for them. I can't believe I did. I haven't even read some of them and they cost me so much. So glad I have changed my shopping habits.
All I have left to do is to complete my marking and planning. I think I have had a productive holiday so far. Hurrah. :jAiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
I bought a top in Primark. I have never shopped there before. I am feeling guilty as it isn't supposed to be ethical. I spent a lot of money over the last few days when meeting my friends and niece in town but I will make up for it over the next few weeks when work starts.
Still have marking to do. Starting it now.
Just checked bank statement which looks v low. Anyway what a fab surprise, Clydesdale bank have just given me £150. This is going in my mortgage fund so I don't do anything silly with it. Yay. I think I can transfer this account to Marks and Spencer soon. OMG.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
I went out with a dear friend for lunch today. We both had a meal for £10 each. It was lovely and bright and then the heaven's opened. I will not spend now on any fripperies till payday as I have been out quite a bit this holiday. I am not going to beat myself up about the spending, most of it was on other people and will carry on saving as I am in this for the long term. I remember when I first starting saving for my extension and I worried how I would do it. I still raised £30,000.
We had a look at some lovely plants at the garden centre and a fantastic swing seat. These are lovely things to dream about in the future when I am financially secure
I have ordered a £1 book from fleabay on trees that is my treat for the month.:oAiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Well this is it, the end of my holiday. I haven't completed all my work and haven't done any planning. This is the first holiday ever since I have been at my current employer that I haven't completed my holiday tasks. I don't suppose many other people have either we are all waiting to hear about redundancies and job cuts so I'm not going to work all holiday when I am just a number to them.
My fridge is full. My bookcase looks tidy. My fleabay auctions are ending in the next hour I have made £32. Every bit helps the mortgage fund. The things i sold were barely used and i paid a lot more for them back in the days when i was rich. John the builder reckons we can still carboot my books as someone may pay something for them so I will hold off giving them to charity and will also explore Aesop's sites for money raising. I am in the process of setting up accounts with M&S and also with Tesco to save more money. All in all, it's been a good holiday.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
I started teaching a new course today. It is not my subject area and is v different to what I usually do. It has been an interesting day.
I also did some admin at work. From now on I will be working 5 days a week but at the same pay. I don't mind, it makes life interesting and gives me more time to do my admin. lol :jAiming for a minimal spend 20220
