The seller won because the item shows as delivered.
Unless you appeal and state the delivery is from Gateshead but that is xyz miles from you and your local delivering depot is abcde then you won't gain anything.
Don't add anything else into the equation as it is irrelevant.
I sent EBay an email asking how the seller could win because it doesn't state 'attempted delivery' 3 times like yodel normally do before keeping it in the depot for a week then returninv it to sender, & the response I received was to update my address details if I have moved, that is why I thought it was relevant. The case was closed a few days ago as they say delivery was in Leeds, everyte I speak to CS they say they will ring me back & no-one does.0 -

Do you need to update your address details, or have you updated them recently. Please note, I'm not asking about whether or when you moved, I'm asking about the details on the system. Most sellers know, to print the details out from Paypal, as that way they will be covered even if they're not up to date.
Why have ebay suggested you update your address details, what prompted them to say this?0 -
No, they don't need updating; when I queried how the seller had won without proof of attempted delivery I got (what sounds like a standardised email) back saying I need to make sure my address is correct or check with neighbours to see if had been delivered there.0

Have you PHONED ebay rather than emailing them?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Phoned them 3 times now, they tell me it shows as delivered in Leeds (when asked where they say on the 11th) and this is enough for seller to win the case0

If you get back in touch with Ebay, they will likely refund out of their own coffers. Unfortunately, you'll just need to keep badgering them, as above, be clear and concise with your details.tiger-eyes wrote: »Phoned them 3 times now, they tell me it shows as delivered in Leeds (when asked where they say on the 11th) and this is enough for seller to win the case.0 -

And there you go again. Yodel and their policy to attempt a delivery 3 times is NOTHING to do with Ebay or the case.
Do not confuse matters.
As per the post above, it would appear although the main tracking shows as 'delivered' (and that is what the CS agent would have gone on), the history shows it was RTS (returned to sender).
I suspect you've caused the confusion with CS yourself.

Sorry, I misunderstood eBay then, I thought the seller had to show an attempted delivery (I don't think the tracking says there was a delivery in Leeds, maybe I'm wrong?). Thanks for your input.0

No seller has to show delivery attempted is irrelevant, otherwise buyer wins case.
However it seems ebay has seen the last message as delivered which seems to be back to buyer, you need to advise them of this, and show them the returned to sender part of the history0
