Just read this thread as I need a new android phone too and liked the Motorola, but then I saw there's a 2nd generation of the same model, is it worth it?

Main benefit for me would be the dual sim (I have a spanish sim card which I use when I'm there and it would come quite handy), but not sure about the rest..

    2nd gen has a 5 inch screen , the old one 4.5 , I'm using the 1st gen 4g , believe there is an imminent 2nd gen 4g release

Dual sim unit only accepts a 2g SIM card in the 2nd slot

Ive just tried it for 10 random previous destinations from my TomTom, it found every road name without a problem, it will even route to a shopping centre just by the centre name, no road needed.

What road names did you find fault with?

Perhaps you were trying it in one of the early betas?

I was not putting in road names I was putting in the name of a football club. Here Dive couldn't find it, but Here Maps did then gave me the option to navigate to it.

I have done this with several places where I don't know the address but do know the name of the destination.

Ah, so not "places", just one place. What football stadium was it?

    No - lots of places.

Typing in the name of the football team brought up nothing in Here Drive.

I thought I would try it with various places I go to but it wasn't interested in finding them.

EDIT - Just tried the HERE maps on Android and it found the locations no problem, same as HERE maps on Windows.

The issue, for me, seems to be with HERE drive on Windows phones.

Ah, I see where the confusion comes from then, Nokia Here is the Android version, Nokia Drive is the WP8 version.

I don't have much experience of Nokia Drive, I'm only talking about Nokia Here (the new Android app).

    Thanks for clearing that up

On Nokia phones you have Nokia Here and Nokia Drive+.

Here, is the maps app which seems to find the places okay. Drive+ does not.
Drive+ is okay at finding post codes but not good at place names for some reason.
