In my experience once you use the pac code the old account is terminated as soon as the number ports out so you should only be charged line rental up until that point.Lloyds Personal Loan #3: £5000 (£4743)

In fact all contracts require a 30-days' notice, so you get charged at least for the next 30 days after getting PAC even if you port the number earlier. In my experience once you use the pac code the old account is terminated as soon as the number ports out so you should only be charged line rental up until that point.0 -

Ahh maybe I've been lucky/ignorant of my 'final bills' haha in any case if it's a good deal op and not £50+ a month I'd just suck it up for the remainder two weeks.

I can be missing something, but your bill doesn't prove anything. It all depends on when exactly you get the PAC.
E.g. if you get the PAC on your billing date, the next 30 days will be paid on the payment date, so you don't have to pay anything extra.0 -

not always. when i got my PAC from Orange i was only charged £1.09 and not the full £11.99 for 30 days
Grumbler is right.
All your bill shows is that you gave your notice 30 days before 02 January, and thus only had a few days in your final billing period to pay for. But most of your notice period was charged in the previous billing period.0 -
How come?

You get charged for the next 30 days.
A part of this period gets paid in advance by your normal monthly payment.
For the remaining days you have to pay extra.0 -
