Stop listening to whatever whoever says. Check your online account, your bills and your other paperwork.0

Yes I can upgrade for free next week it is not an early upgrade I have to pay for0
-
so next week you upgrade with them or get a PAC and move to a new provider or just remain as you are and continue to pay them.
If you leave without a PAC then you will need to give them 30 days notice0 -
Thanks all for the help , I understand a bit more now0
-
If you leave next week with PAC or without you'll pay for the next 30 days because you didn't give a notice 30 days earlier.
The earliest date you can leave without wasting money is in 30 days if you give a notice or get a PAC today.0 -
Keep the old phone, unlock it and switch to a SIM only deal with a one month min term, say £10 a month? You can then save £24 per month towards a new phone and buy it outright once you've saved enough. No free lunch, and no free laptop
