    Golden carriage.....has made me think back to 1977 when my SC twin dolls pram was transformed into the gold state coach for the silver jubilee :o with my favourite doll Miss Bebbie ( I mis heard Debbie) as the queen and Mr ruffles the teddy as Prince Philip :D....... oh what a handsome couple they were :D :rotfl::rotfl:

    Don't know where that came from but I blame AAU :whistle:

    The extreme basics.....it's quite complex in reality.

    They go to the cash office, the cash office x-reference against the receipt (purchase), they get sent to Valassis who confirm, x-reference, pay out to the retailer, analyse for shopping and brand trends and of course take a clearing house commission of sorts.
    Valassis act in the same way a clearing bank does. They also provide the same services to the cashback app sites...Q/COS/etc

    Each receipt is also x-refrenced to a Visa/mastercard etc who then provide data back to the retailer enabling them to know what to stock, when to stock, if to stock and to know when you're using your card with other retailers, how far those retailer are from their own retailers and how to entice you back. It's all about Branding and values of those brands and how to keep the consumer as a' puppet on a string' or as they call it ' customer retention'.

    It's kind of a BIG Brother thing to keep one step ahead of the average consumer.

    Scary, makes me want to just pay cash from now on!
