you give me credit for a lot more things than I am capable of doing on here! The software, the database, the servers, the inner workings of MSE are absolutely nothing to do with me.

I don't want people to think he hasn't had the very best treatment available to him.....because he has.
When OH returned from Afghan he was badly injured physically. He was in a military hospital for a very long time but he made a good recovery. He had some counselling at that time but really he had no major mental problems then....that were evident to anyone anyway.
He came home, looked after the kids whilst I went back to work full time and things were ok for a year or so.
His original breakdown came out of nowhere. OK there were warning signs in the run up to it.....looking back.
What I'm trying to say is that by the time all this happened, he had left the army. They gave him the very best of treatment for what he had wrong with him at the time and I could never fault them for it.
Their system does have flaws with respect to dealing with people afterwards. But it is improving and that's a lot of what my work at uni is dealing with.
I hope the stuff with your Dads house and affairs goes as smoothly as I can. Don't know if yiu have the luxury of taking your time? But if you, just do what you feel able to cope with everyday. I'm glad you had a relaxing holiday :A
Thanks for reply.
I don't know anyone who has left the forces so was just pondering.
I understand what you are saying and hope in years to come anyone who has spent such a long time serving queen and country gets unconditional support for the rest of their lives.
Fleetingly thinking back to the Vietnam vets who didn't come home hero's despite the he'll they went through and also prisoners of war in ww2 and those in Japanese camps.
I understand that you will have minimal contact while treatment is going on and sounds strange to say but getting your regular routine back will help your household so much. I think of you all often.
I am very glad to hear you have managed to get the specialised treatment your oh needs. I presume he really needs Military related therapy as well as the rest.
We are lucky that there is not pressing need to sell house but has to be done at some point and coming up to best time of year.
Fencing issues still but you can bet I will have that sorted once on site.
I suppose the scariest thing is not knowing what to expect. Not knowing how I will feel ect
On the outside I will be coping with the needs and feelings of others and will put them before my own as that's what I do.
I will be bringing the 'Bunny' back with me this trip as it so makes me smile.
Finally have date for op (think bubbs hand but my ankle) putting my hopes into it taking some pain away. Just over 3 weeks to go. Have had to keep putting it off due to various issues plus babysitting duties.
Oh and have a very nice lady coming to see me from a cleaning company on Monday. Frees me up for task ahead and might make me tidier (not that house is untidy but could be better). I have decided I need more control over my time and this should help.
Hoping snap and fourp are doing ok.
Thank you to all who read my little rant last night. I was tired but it was more than that, I felt out of control of things.
I missed my Elite family while I was away.

I wonder what happens to all the ApG from the tills and the self scans. Just curious where they go. I wonder if it's some poor souls job to add them all up so sada know how much it is costing them.
Thinking about it I think I'd quite like that job
The extreme basics.....it's quite complex in reality.
They go to the cash office, the cash office x-reference against the receipt (purchase), they get sent to Valassis who confirm, x-reference, pay out to the retailer, analyse for shopping and brand trends and of course take a clearing house commission of sorts.
Valassis act in the same way a clearing bank does. They also provide the same services to the cashback app sites...Q/COS/etc
Each receipt is also x-refrenced to a Visa/mastercard etc who then provide data back to the retailer enabling them to know what to stock, when to stock, if to stock and to know when you're using your card with other retailers, how far those retailer are from their own retailers and how to entice you back. It's all about Branding and values of those brands and how to keep the consumer as a' puppet on a string' or as they call it ' customer retention'.
It's kind of a BIG Brother thing to keep one step ahead of the average consumer.0 -
I did visit one of the older threads many, many moons ago and was snapped at back then, hence I left, and I see nothing has changed.
You are obviously welcome here as long as you agree with everybody else, voice an opinion that doesn't fit in with others and somebody immediately shoots you down (not you aau1, I hasten to add)

One step at a time VT, don't rush things. I put off applying for probate until I felt ready, did it myself :money: but as soon as I got the grant of probate it did put a time limit on certain things. Up until then I could fob people off with the fact I didn't have it yet. There is no legal time limit for applying but you may already have a solicitor on to it.
Sending you lots of love and hugs. :A
Thank you.
Yes, Dad had a very good solicitor and everything is being well taken care of.
I think next weekend will be spent aimlessly wondering round the house but that's ok and therapeutic. It makes me realise I am so far away. My sister has a great support network of friends willing to help as and when needed.
