That is your opinion, the one I stated is mine which I am entitled to voice. Because I did does not make me wrong.

Some people may have watched it and voted on that but many many more will have blindly voted because they had been asked/cajoled.

If that's the way you want to win, fine. But as I said, it's a hollow victory.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion. :)

Nice that we can all debate about it as adults:)

sad to say though but it will be a hollow victory because it won't have been won on merit, but just won on vote manipulation by specifically asking people to vote.

Not a way I'd want to win anything.

If contestants did not promote their videos it is unlikely that anyone would even be aware of the competition in the first place and there would be very few votes overall.

I think with competitions like these the promoters expect the contestants to also promote their videos not just take part.

    :)

    Right proud of me :D

I've hoovered, swept out grubby corners, washed mats, cleaned away a mouldy patch I found behind curtains  washed wooden stairs, front door & step, planted a dahlia that was pot bound into the garden using only a trowel to dig hole as I couldn't find shed key to get spade out :o:o
Feel so much better now, just need to do a stash tetris as it is creeping into guest bedroom :o:o

Thanks for your contribution and welcome to the thread

I did visit one of the older threads many, many moons ago and was snapped at back then, hence I left, and I see nothing has changed.

You are obviously welcome here as long as you agree with everybody else, voice an opinion that doesn't fit in with others and somebody immediately shoots you down (not you aau1, I hasten to add)

I disagree bodacious. If you look through the videos the majority are put together by professionals. Some have employed "directors"

Ruth is 17 years old and did this all by herself in her bedroom. She is a true underdog and we are supporting her all the way.
Plus I think L'oreal must be delighted with the publicity and interest shown in the entries:T

Plus the video is by miles the best xx

    I think she is great.

I have to admit the male to female is fab, but it is clearly a professional.... so should not be allowed.

    Go Ruth!! :T:T:T:T

    Good evening all.

Just on my way home from visiting friends in York - and trying to catch up from yesterday!

    Happy belated birthday tweets.

TS - so pleased DD is hanging in there. :T

Does voting close midnight tonight, midnight tomorrow or somewhere in between?

:) a case of you can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink :) I voted because I was impressed by Ruth's presentation.
I have watched the other ones to judge for myself, and made my own mind up :)

I'm sure all the others just have billions of friends & they all voted on the off chance they stumbled across it :)
