Thanks izzy, things are definitely starting to improve. We've been having so many smiles and eye contact over today and yesterday so I think dd's discomfort is leaving, it's certainly made us feel brighter anyway :D

I know there are people who have much bigger worries, it's only been a bit of constipation and silent reflux. I think it's the sleep deprivation that makes everything seem worse than it is and makes you question every little thing you do. Luckily for me dh hasn't been working as much as he was so I've had a good bit of sleep today and yesterday. He's doing a 24hr shift tomorrow so I'm hoping that things stay as they are - I think it was all those he was doing that was killing me before :)

ETA: hats off to single mothers, I have no idea how they do it!

I am glad, sleep deprivation is the work of the devil,I know it's easy to say but this stage won't last for ever and she is so worth it, take sleep when ever you can get it and forget everything else xx:)

I think the muggles in my A need neon signs to alert them of a bargain because the SELs alone aren't doing it!

Thank you. I like the Listerine bottle trick best.

    Evening all

Snap so sorry fourp and yourself are going through this.

Looking back I suffered from advanced grieving which made the actual event surreal. Slowly coming to terms with things now.
Hornetgirl I know we have spoken but big hugs.

Missed the coke glitch but just not up to date (so much TV to catch up on).
Did find 1p chocs in Mr T today which made my friends day. We have found very cheap and lower than sel stuff together but he had never seen me do a 1p.
I was surprised as figured I had missed the boat.

Stocked up on curry for dd's visit next week. Worked a dream for a full pp. Gave friend the flat breads which made a change from throwing sides straight in the bin.

    Love to all

Friend is going on Thomson celebrity and is wondering if there is a way to take his bacardi on board?

Depends how strong security is. Could always try some 'rum-runners', or if you get a bottle of water, and heat the lid up with some boiling water, you can take it off without breaking the seal, then re-fill it, and it still looks un-opened, but when you shake vodka, the bubbles are different to vodka, so if they are looking for it, they will know.
Thanks for the ideas. Think I have found something that will work. More notice and a couple of tresseme bottles cleaned will and sterilised would have done the trick in case.
Oh, that's for amateurs:rotfl:Never been on a cruise, but from many years of 'taking' your own alcohol into music festivals where you are thoroughly searched on the gate, a fail-safe method is to get a loaf of bread (French sticks are the best, for obvious reasons:cool:), cut in half (or even better, cut off one end), hollow out the inside and stick your bottle of spirits inside that. Decanting it into a plastic bottle reduces the weight but isn't essential. They search bottles and containers, but never food. That would just be too devious and cunning:D
One of my proudest achievements at a certain music festival was getting a tiger loaf, cutting in half, scooping out the insides, then buttering the edges and sticking bits of salad round the edge, so when it was put back together the lettuce was sticking out so it looked like a giant salad sandwich. When we opened it up, we actually got a round of applause from the festival-goers round us:rotfl:
Another good method is to get the cartons of juice that have the plastic flip-top with foil underneath; the foil can be peeled off, the carton emptied, and the foil reattached with glue or pritstick. Particularly good for clear non-smelling spirits that you mix in a little of the juice. Unless the staff open the carton and taste the contents, even when opened it looks exactly as it should.
