Decanting it into a plastic bottle reduces the weight but isn't essential. They search bottles and containers, but never food. That would just be too devious and cunning:D
One of my proudest achievements at a certain music festival was getting a tiger loaf, cutting in half, scooping out the insides, then buttering the edges and sticking bits of salad round the edge, so when it was put back together the lettuce was sticking out so it looked like a giant salad sandwich. When we opened it up, we actually got a round of applause from the festival-goers round us:rotfl:
Another good method is to get the cartons of juice that have the plastic flip-top with foil underneath; the foil can be peeled off, the carton emptied, and the foil reattached with glue or pritstick. Particularly good for clear non-smelling spirits that you mix in a little of the juice. Unless the staff open the carton and taste the contents, even when opened it looks exactly as it should.
Wow! Going to pass this to DN who goes to festivals etc0 -

Bread trick would not work on cruises, they have these magic devices called x-ray machines.
Orange carton is a good idea though.
I used to just use a ostomy pouching bag at festivals, quick and easy to refill, and even if they found it, they would not dare interfere with it.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Free wood in Ikea????? What am I missing
They have a help yourself bit outside where all the surplus or broken wood goes. There was a two metre long shelf there today that could have been useful but with the raised beds  and my wardrobe in the car, I had no room for it. Misery guts was already kicking off because I'd moved the passenger seat forward to accommodate the beds :rotfl::rotfl:Oh no
She definitely had about 10 packs and when I looked only 20p no sign of a yellow sticker but no time to investigate and guessing she cleared the shelf

I do wonder if the MOD send their most affected there then why has this not been offered to a very brave man who has given the best years of his life to his country when his trauma started? Do they not help once discharged from the army or has this been resisted as treatment for a long time?
As for you autistic duo hopefully while oh is not around they will just write him out of their schedules for a while. Sad but they cope in a matter of fact way. He has gone away, he will come back one day. They will get plenty of notice as to when this will happen. I hope schools are helping with counselling for them.

I feel the need to clear this upI don't want people to think he hasn't had the very best treatment available to him.....because he has.
When OH returned from Afghan he was badly injured physically. He was in a military hospital for a very long time but he made a good recovery. He had some counselling at that time but really he had no major mental problems then....that were evident to anyone anyway.
He came home, looked after the kids whilst I went back to work full time and things were ok for a year or so.
His original breakdown came out of nowhere. OK there were warning signs in the run up to it.....looking back.
What I'm trying to say is that by the time all this happened, he had left the army. They gave him the very best of treatment for what he had wrong with him at the time and I could never fault them for it.
Their system does have flaws with respect to dealing with people afterwards. But it is improving and that's a lot of what my work at uni is dealing with.
I hope the stuff with your Dads house and affairs goes as smoothly as I can. Don't know if yiu have the luxury of taking your time? But if you, just do what you feel able to cope with everyday. I'm glad you had a relaxing holiday :A0
