  • that pretty much sums me up, I'm one rolling ball of tiredness and most of the time when I wake up it doesn't feel like I've been to sleep :o It's not even so much muscle soreness, just a feeling like you couldn't physically move if your life depended on it!

It's not like I'm not active though. I walk to and from work which is 2.5 miles a day and when I'm at work I'm on my feet the whole time rushing about easily doing 10000 steps in a shift some days. Must admit I have wondered about my thyroid in the past but I'm not very good at asking the doctor about these kind of things too self conscious to question them :o
Neither was I, I went several years undiagnosed because I didn't want to go to the Dr and be told I was "lazy" or "eating rubbish" truth was I hardly ate a thing, peddled away for hrs and still gained weight! Mother got fed up of me because it was like I wasnt on the same planet - cold, forgetful, deaf, tired, carpal tunnel, to name a few things, think the final straw was me locking her in a shed for hrs and she made me an appointment with the Dr, and frog marched me there :o:o
I had no choice, but the Dr said he knew straight away what was wrong with me and when he got the blood test results back the next day I think he was surprised I was still standing because if undiagnosed you can end up in a coma! :(
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

The younger newly qualified docs are very good at this, looking at the basics

also worth asking for an iron test - I had no idea I was low until I went to give blood one August - I was eating very well, no tiredess - but it was a really hot summer and I think this had something to do with it

Yes I think sometimes they do like to investigate a bit more, my grip with the medical profession is they will treat your symptom without looking for the cause, I had many remedys for lots of symptoms where just one blood test for the correct thing could of saved/ prolonged the live of my kidneys, I really stick up for myself now:)

I also use Google calendar on the main computer - absolute godsend.

I set up stepped reminder - email pop ups a day before and a few hours before. I also get a daily schedule.

I've not quite figured out how to also get it on the iPhone and iPad and get them to all synch up with the main computer.

You need to set up your email account on your iphone so that you get your gmail emails on your iphone. The calendar will then automatically sync to your iphone.

I did chuckle at that last night! Who's your money on?

I'm working this evening so won't be home til half 8 so I'm going to miss it. It'll be radio silence on my way home and straight onto the laptop to watch :rotfl:

I laughed at it and then the realisation on her face of what she had said was funny too, I'm saying jane or cindy but theyre all in on it, the odds are on for bobby now! x

My iron levels are always on the low side. Although they will pick up for a bit and then drop again. Maybe a trip to the vet would best for me :rotfl:

    Thanks for your view Eyespy.

You sound like my OH, who was not impressed I was still in my dressing gown when he got home yesterday. He said I can't let it take over my life. :o

I guess you just want the best for your kids, not expecting her to win but would like her not to finish near the bottom. :)

I didn't mean it in a negative way, I've just seen the impact these voting comps can have. Think it is important that your daughter knows that they are more or less one big fix so that she doesn't take it personally :)
