  • DS and I had a savoury filling in ours - mince meat with the Lloyd Grossman bolognese sauce mix (from when they were comparing well a while ago). This is one of the ways we have them in South Africa. First time DS has had them with the mince meat, as he usually prefers to sprinkle just sugar on them - he is not a fan of lemon ;)

I love vetkoek and mince haven't had that in eons.

She is in top half. Joint with 3 or 4 other people at the moment though. :)

I am sure the voting is temperamental, every now and again it seems to be stuck and people say their votes are not registering. :(

Be a long time before I run out.......:rotfl:

To all elite ladies got your butts to the swimming pool and get adult lessons like mrsnerf did a few years ago so she could keep up with the nerf boys in the water:cool::cool:

I'm a qualified swimming teacher, and was also a county level swimmer myself (back in the day when I was half the weight I am now. :o). Used to love teaching.

But I'll have to shave the bloomin' legs now:o:eek:

I have an arrangement with my friend that if ever I happen an accident in the winter months she will shave my legs before the ambulance gets to me!:rotfl:

Thats the only thing that puts me off, the whole shaving legs business! Being a single lady, I can get away with leaving them for weeks at a time, but wouldn't dare bare my legs without getting the old razor out! :rotfl:

I'm going to aim for twice a week to start with (swimming, not shaving! :D) and will keep my progress updated on here.

Rhos - well done on sorting out a new car, you're a very speedy worker!

miss_corerupted - sorry to hear you've been so poorly, hope you're on the mend?

I was thinking of FC earlier, I know shes going through a really tough period at the moment, I hope she is looking after herself as it must be a very stressful time.

Bubbs, can't believe its 4 weeks non-smoking already, thats amazing! :T

    Thanks both and CS :o

I haven't got any massively good news. My OH is still very poorly. There have been a couple of very hairy moments over the last week. It looks like physically he will recover, much to his disappointment :( but I thought that before the hairy moments so it's a day at a time just now. The silly !!!!!! has done a lot of damage to himself.

I've not been avoiding posting. I just don't have a lot to say :o you know me.....don't want to be all doom and gloom :p and am wary of having a laugh in such grim times :o

I have put my practical side to use arranging an amazing (and expensive ) treatment programme in place for him WHEN He is fit to be moved. It's make or break for my whole family this time because we are all on our a rses! My kids have been amazing considering what they are dealing with and we really all have helped each other.

I am also going back to work on Monday because I refuse to give up my whole life all over again. I care....so much, I will do whatever it takes to get him back to a good place. But I won't give up my whole life all over again to end up back at square one.

So I am fine and thank you for thinking of me :A

And thank you to those who have supported (and tormented :p) me behind the scenes. It is very much appreciated

    Tenth Anniversary
Np pancakes here today. I'd rather wait for a spring roll on the chinese new year. Yum.

As for swimming, there's nothing better than a bit of skinny dipping in the sea, with a shot or 2 after especially at this time of year. :D
