you've reminded me, I'm supposed to be thinking of holidays this week. OH wants a villa somewhere abroad for the summer hols (me find it, source it, email everyone, co-ordinate flights etc, that kind of thing) First hol abroad with the kids. BUT (and it's a big but) he thinks we should go with his bro and wife, 2 kids and the 2 grandparents.

I'd rather boil my own head...........

Instead I'm looking at hoseasons in april in essex, a cheapo caravan for me and my sis to have quality time together with the kids, 2 nights away.

I bet they love the idea of a holiday with you as well:D:D:D:D

I nipped into superdrug earlier looking for P20. There was no P20 at all on the shelf and when I asked, they guy pointed at general factor 20 :rotfl: clearly he'd never heard of it :rotfl:

Then across to asda, I did not find one single reduced to clear anything   no toilet roll, kitchen roll, toilet wipes, candles, nothing *sigh*

And trust you again. They prob think I'm a misery guts as I don't bother visiting them anymore or making an effort - spent too many years doing that so I don't bother anymore :o But i don't feel guilty.

Do you know, OH's parents came to visit us TWICE last year. twice in a whole year to see their son and two grandchildren. they live 150 miles away (I feel your pain Mt2m). Yet another flight to australia has been booked, she's averaging once every 8 months. Wish she'd booger off and live there! :rotfl:

OOoooooh, the rant from me is over.

Have a good search round, there are bargains to be had. 8 of us, all adults, have booked a large villa in Croatia (much too big for us, 6 bedrooms, sleeps 14) with private beach etc in May/June. With Easyjet flights from Stansted works out at about £250 each so well worth a trawl on the net for bargains. We checked references with Tripadvisor etc beforehand too.

I did buy 2 to test, i couldn't help it. Mum told me the other day that she got a bargain, picked up radox handwashes for £1 each. I told her to stop doing that, it's not a bargain!:D She had a stash of 12 under the sink:eek: I've loads in my garage she could have had. I'll have to do her a bag when they next visit.

wow, that's very good, maybe I'll look at croatia.. We are restricted to school holidays but they have already told me they want separate apartments and are quite set on what they normally do. Hoping OH comes round to my way of thinking.. I'll have a mooch.

I found a fab place in cyprus called villas4kids or something. Set up for little ones and pool cordoned off, toys there, soft play area, close to the beach etc. But it was £2k for a week (sleeps 10) excluding flights:eek: eeek, don't fancy paying that.
