  • Yep, that's the place. Not a lot there but a good base, we rented a very basic cottage for two weeks and were really lucky with the weather. For many years now we have been for a week on Holy Island, near Holyhead which is a similar area. We still have the foreign holidays but the 'kids' (3 in their 30's!) still like the family holiday in Wales. We always have a day in Caernarvon when we are there so still not far from you.

you've reminded me, I'm supposed to be thinking of holidays this week. OH wants a villa somewhere abroad for the summer hols (me find it, source it, email everyone, co-ordinate flights etc, that kind of thing) First hol abroad with the kids. BUT (and it's a big but) he thinks we should go with his bro and wife, 2 kids and the 2 grandparents.

I'd rather boil my own head...........

Instead I'm looking at hoseasons in april in essex, a cheapo caravan for me and my sis to have quality time together with the kids, 2 nights away.

Do they still do the free ones in the pubs, I got one of those when I was 18, that was a "cough" a few years ago though.

    Afternoon.

Spent the day in London yesterday and in so much pain today. :(

I know I'm overweight, and also am very unfit as uncomfortable to do much with my bladder, but I'm sure after walking for 10-15 minutes I shouldn't have burning pain in my feet and a chronically aching back. Didn't sleep much due to discomfort, and feet are still killing today, along with my hips. Clearly I'm just falling apart. :o

Cat been to the vet this afternoon for her yearly vaccination. She was just given the cat flu one as she is so old (18), vet said not to bother with the other as no real point. Also had her claws clipped for first time, as she keeps getting stuck in everything!

Someone had brought some bulldog puppies in for their first jabs, OMG they were so cute and squishy! :rotfl:

Glad my local eliters had a good meet yesterday, sorry to have missed it.

do you mean something like the citizen card...they are £15 I think and giv e discounts at certain selected retailers...

otherwise does she already have a passport, driving licence, bus pass, student card...all of which should have DOB on for ID purposes.

Is she still at school/college as I believe you may be able to get free proof of ID from there as they can bulk request cards.

We have had a similar debate with ds1...hes not 18 yet but the amount of cards that he has already with photo id should mean that when the time comes there will be lots to choose from for verification without needing anything else

I am only doing the electric one sent gas back. I am using more electricity than it says on my smart meter. Will be glad when trial is over .
