What an incredible job you have looking at all that beauty. I grew up stuck in the middle of fields like that as a child, with those precise views surrounding me. I played in fields with cows, collected minnows from streams and brooks in my wellington boots and took them home to my friends pond... fantastic way to grow up. I wish I could give that to jellytot but she lives by the seaside with views of rolling hills so I suppose that is a nice childhood too if only we can get out of this awful building!

  • Living by the sea sounds wonderful for those of us that live at least an hour and a half away from the nearest beach! It's another lovely day here, and we're off to the next village where there's a food festival this afternoon. And then tomorrow I'm going to walk up and down the Malverns, so watch out Fitbitters!! Not too much to report MSE-wise, except that it looks like the Coop have mucked up the energy switch  that'll get sorted on Monday. Another couple of OPs to CC1 as well.
It seems to have been a tighter month this time, not helped by OH realising that I now have an emergency fund and thinking that it means I can now pay for anything and everything. Er, NO!! Lesson learned. I will no longer be sharing that info with him. I was so pleased to have reached that level, and paid off the ODs that I wanted to share the news with him and now he thinks we're sorted, and it means I can give him extra money whenever he wants. NO NO NO NO  just frustrating that he hasn't had his LBM yet and isn't adjusting his spending. Sigh. Sorry.. Needed to vent. xx

Oh no steppie........I can relate to that one hun.... it's so frustrating isn't it because you'd want to share the good news with OH, but you need to enjoy the advantage of the progress you're making - you've done all that hard work to get to that position!!:o You don't want to suddenly have to pay for all sorts of extra things.

I've been invited to stay with some friends who live in Great Malvern...hope I can get there at some point soon as it's ages since I've seen them and they have a gorgeous little 5 year old daughter. By the way do you know that fab cafe called "The Kettle that Sings" (I think) with those panoramic views???? They take me there usually!!:p

  • HB the kettle sings is a lovely cafe :D small world! You'll have to let me know if you do come over and we'll have a little MSEmeetup!

No fear with paying for extra things :D luckily DH doesn't have the card for the joint account, it's only used for paying household bills. If it's not budgeted for it's not happening. Grrrrr!

    Hello steppie!!

Hope you live up to your name and overtake me on steps today! I am cheering you on :D enjoy your exercise. I am cooped up indoors with the small and poorly one :( bless her! She's in bed the last hour fast asleep. Don't know what to do with myself. need to be quiet to let her sleep so cleaning/showering is out of the question! Am instead emptying my phone of pictures and clearing out emails.

As for DH... :wall: - men, honestly. I wish Him had any kind of idea what my flat costs to run. In 6 years he has never chipped in for more than the odd pack of nappies, and a takeaway here and there. Its a good job I know how to use my money properly ;)

    Hugs!! xxx

Wow you must have burned an incredible amount of calories!! I just snuck 20k steps yesterday by the skin of my teeth! Sounds like your walk was far nicer than mine though!!

She just has a summer cold, but as her tummy has always been so sensitive, she coughs and it makes her sick. Luckily kept it at bay with the meds but it was a night of delirious chatter with a small furnace like child in my bed. Not a great night!!

Am off out into the sun before it disappears into showers. Have a lovely day! xx
