Sorry your answer doesn't make sense. A car cannot be declared SORN with the DVLA and be taxed with the DVLA at the same time. It's either one or the other.

But it has tax! If SORN but has tax, surely a V5 form change of owner implies it is back on the road.

It is not taxed as a refund would be sent to the company.

When sold the SORN ceases and the car needs to be taxed or new owner MAKES A sorn.

Also remember if you are not taxed, your insurance is probably invalid.

If it was SORN all along, you've been driving it since last August with no tax. How does that relate to your statement 'I have a tax disc I know was bought legitimately and expires in mid 2015'?
Either you don't understand the system, or you're very confused, or we aren't being told the full facts. Possibly a bit of all three I suppose.
