The week before pay day is always a bit ........ uneventful. That is a good thing, but it feels a bit ....... uneventful!!!!

I managed to find 200 extra swagbucks yesterday. At this rate I'll easily accummulate an extra £5 of vouchers each week. Although I'm putting no pressure on. It's easy for me to accummulate them sitting still all day. Maybe not so easy on my days off. We'll see.

Could save me big money for Christmas gifts though, if it goes well enough.

Last night was a great evening. I went to see the London Road film with a friend and then we went for cheap food afterwards. He's such good company and I don't get to see him on my own much anymore so it was a real treat.

Tonight I've been invited to an "exclusive" leaving party. I'm not great at travelling late so I'll probably just stay for an hour or so and then wander off. I'm also not too good in crowds.

Tomorrow I still need to finalise my playlist for the show and I have to get some shopping too! A nice relaxing day (other than the immense fear I feel 30 minutes before a show). I've put together a better template and times to speak about topics so I'm feeling confident it'll work out ok.

Right, I'd best pack up my desk and head off to the party!!!! Get me partying on a Thursday evening! Whatever next!

Thank you Sam. I'm not sure what to say about the party! I didn't stay long as it was just too uncomfortable. Sadly, it's not something I can talk about on here just in case anyone from work knows who I am! Paranoia probably, but better to be safe.

My radio show actually went a lot better than I expected. I'd found some bits of information to chat about rather than focusing everything on the songs and it felt better. I was on for 4 hours in total, but luckily the woman who basically runs the radio came and sat with me for the last 1.5 hours and we did an online film quiz show! She took the reins on the show, but I was a very involved co-host. I was exhausted when I left but very happy. I have to remember that feeling on a Friday morning as I get so nervous I get hit hard with a lack of confidence and get that little voice questioning me! That little voice is bloody insulting too!!!!!

I think the world definitely needs more dancing!

So this week needs to be a quiet one! I'm seriously detoxing now and it's uncomfortable. The thought of going out much isn't a good one!

I'm also on the radio for 4 hours again this Friday. Same format as last week. Solo for 2.5 hours and then co-host for 1.5 hours I think we're going to attempt a catchphrase type of quiz. We'll see!

Today I finally filed my dormant business accounts. I'm not sure why I keep them open. I should cancel them before my October accounts are due as that's a £13 fee.

This evenings fun task is recalibrating YNAB. I took my eye off the ball as it was working so differently to me, but I get paid on Tuesday so my new regime can start. No daily budget! That's going to be weird. Just an allowance for each thing I buy!

Eek! I think this could be me shortly!

I have done some swagbucking and I've also shop&scanned so that's done.

Sorry I sound so rubbish tonight. I don't like feeling anything but upbeat, but I'm expecting that once this initial detox is over I'll be like the duracell bunny. There'll be no stopping me!!!!

I avoided YNAB yesterday, but I was on it today! Mainly because I knew my bank accounts would be as up to date as possible on a Monday rather than a Sunday.

However, I'd still messed it all up a bit, so I've just started a fresh version and now know how to pay off pre-YNAB debt within YNAB. I get paid tomorrow so will be working on a budget mind-frame rather than a daily allowance (which meant I could spend that daily budget on anything!) Every £ really does now have a job.

It feels good to have stuck with this as my last budget mind-frame obviously isn't working well for me.

I also should be getting a little extra in this month's salary so that will pay off some of the silly debt I got myself in!

In other news, I've spent no money today. I've also set up for making my breakfast and lunch tomorrow to stop me spending and keep me on the straight and narrow with food. My detox pains have subsided so I won't be buying coffee or anything caffeinated (or even decaf).

I'm about to start the Marie Kondo declutter book next! Onwards and upwards.

I hope you all had an amazing weekend and are feeling fresh for the week!

    It's finally here! Pay Day!
    2004.gif
    YAY!!!

I've managed to pay off one of my cards. I would have paid the other but I left my security key for that account at home! So I'll do that tonight. I've also refunded my friend who paid for our night out last week. Very happy!

Tonight I'll pay up that other card and will update YNAB. I think I need to be on top of that throughout this month. I did manage to update it all on my phone and iPad too, so I have no excuses.

Breakfast and lunch was organised so it's looking like today could be a no unauthorised spends day. I also found 5 £1 coins in my work drawer I'd forgotten about! ;)

I do love financial days like these!

Happy Pay Day to all who get paid today!:D

I had all sorts of plans to achieve last night, but due to my constant YNAB confusion (based on how I've managed my finances previously, not because I'm an idiot - hopefully! :o) I decided to wait until today to put the July payments in. I have been writing down everything I'm doing so that I don't forget anything.

Tonight's task is to update YNAB and start on my playlist for Friday! I'm looking forward to doing that!

I popped some books off to Ziffit last night which may pot me £6 ish. I'm sure all the books are in good condition, but I've not used this company before so not sure if they try to minimise the payment as low as possible.

Back to hump day again already! We made it to another half way point! Yay to us all! Let's do the Wednesday dance!
