I think I've lost my oyster card! Luckily I had it registered so no money lost, but it's really baffling. I got on the bus with it, went upstairs and remember putting it away in it's little pocket that zips up. I looked at my phone to check the time (I remember doing this as there were a group of lads sitting close by so I didn't want to wave my phone around and the phone and ticket are in pockets next to each other).

When I went to find my ticket this morning I unzipped the little pocket, which was empty! It's a pocket at the front of the bag too, so unless it became houdini I have no idea what's happened. If I'd not put it in the pocket properly it would have been easy to see that!

The only thing I can think is that I took it out of it's pocket when I got off the bus! I have no idea why I'd think to do that, but how else can a ticket escape a zipped pocket? Luckily I had my contactless debit card to hand so have been able to get into work without paying out for a new oyster. I've also been online and no one has used the card so have requested they post me a new card and transfer my DD details and balance across.

In other news - there's not much going on! Nothing extra spent last night, although I have bought a coffee this morning. So, that's a whopping £2.60 for a PaMangy coffee! Shocking! I could have bought a jar for that price!

On the plus side, it's no longer Monay and we're sneaking up mid-week quite nicely with this lovely (but a tad cold) weather.

Have a great day everyone :D

Definitely feeling more focussed no that I have YNAB properly set up. It's obvious where I'm "stealing" from now in order to have these little treats! I also didn't realise the level of silly debt I have either, so that'll be paid up in the next 3-4 months.

All sorted with the oyster card. New one should arrive tomorrow or Friday. It's lovely being able to pay by contactless debit card, but I'm not comfortable doing it too often.

I'm off tomorrow and Friday so I'll be focusing on finding items for a boot sale. If the weather is going to be like this on Sunday I want to make the most of it. I also have a great racing bike I need to put up for sale online which should get me a couple of hundred pounds.

M&S sent me some online voucher codes. I need a new pair of work shoes so went on their site to order some. Met all criteria but they're not working! So irritating. I clicked the online chat, held for about 10 minutes and then it cut me off saying no one was around. I'll try them again later.

Stupid treats bought again today. Organisation is the key for me so I'll work on that this weekend.

Radio show almost prepped for Friday so that's a weight off. I don't think I'll volunteer for any more this weekend as I really need to organise myself at home.

    Happy Hump Day!

    Hello Sam,

My ear has been better so I've not done anything with it yet. The dropper bottles have arrived now so can use them if I feel any issues.

I do feel much more organised at the moment, which is a big deal for me as I tend to lack energy. This weekend I've managed to achieve a fair bit so feeling relieved.

This weekend has gone pretty well. I did manage to put things together for the boot sale, today! I obviously forgot the correct time to arrive at the site, and was around 40 minutes later than normal, so we were positioned quite far back. Just a trickle of buyers coming through all morning so when it started drizzling with rain again we packed up and left. That was around 11am. On counting up we'd made almost £100! Amazing! So had a Toby carvery to celebrate. I then got home and flaked out! Exhausting! :)

I've not been out a great deal this weekend, but I did go to the big supermarket as I needed some general supplies like deodorant and bin liners etc. Stupidly went late at night, while really hungry, so spent almost £60. I luckily found a £5 off voucher, but still! I do have a full fridge of food and all the general supplies I needed though so it wasn't money down the drain.

I have now had my training wheels taken off at the radio and have been given my own show on a Friday late afternoon. As the request show has been taken away I have had it agreed that I can collect requests and dedications for my show. So I'm very happy as I love interacting with the patients.

The show I covered went well. I chose summer songs from all years and so I think there was something that most would like. I did get stuck getting there as there had been an accident on the main road I use. I always leave an hour earlier than I need to though so that meant I was just 30 minutes late. I did the full 2 hours so just ended 30 minutes later than scheduled too.

I put the Virgin Money into my account and will send that off to a credit card on Tuesday to pay that down faster. There's just £900 on that card, but I want every penny I owe paid off quickly.

I've been thinking about longer term life plans and I now have a better focus on the path I want to be on. I feel so relieved to have finally found that focus.

I have to try to synchronise YNAB with what I believe has been going on with my accounts!

    I'm going in......

Today has been an absolute NSD as I haven't left the house! I have lots of food in from my shopping splurge and haven't had a great deal of energy so have been pottering around the house.

While pottering I found an external hard drive I've been looking for, so that's a bonus as I was thinking about purchasing another one when I'd saved for it.

My next quest needs to be finding larger items to put up for sale on Gumtree and/or eBay. I can't do much today but on Friday, if the weather is nice, I'll find a few things and start taking photos.

I hope everyone has had a good start to the week.

Thanks Sam. I shall listen to that shortly.

YNAB was a bit difficult to tally up. I've got to rethink my approach to money for this to work as well as it should. I've always had my daily budget which I'd use ad hoc for things like shopping, lunches etc. But now I need to give every pound a job it's getting confusing. I think I need to create a new account called "purse" for the times I draw cash out. Then from there I can categorise what I spend the money in my purse on! Rolling with the punches! :p

This morning has already had some highs and lows! :) The lows are that I bought a muffin this morning for £1.65. However, I didn't buy a coffee. I took a proper sized cup from the work's canteen and made myself a large coffee from the free stash of supplies we get.

The high is that I paid off £133.50 to my Virgin card (which was the money I got from the old Virgin Money ISA plus some current account interest I'd put aside), so there's a balance of £860 now. I should get that paid up with this month's salary as that includes a bonus.

Another plus is that every Wednesday I bring muffins in for me and my boss. He brings in coffee and we have a general catch up. This means I'll also buy myself a muffin as I'm so weak! He's been told he has to lose some weight so muffins are off and fruit is in! Yay! That will really encourage me to break my morning muffin habit now! :A

We're also moving floors at work. I'm going from 2nd to 1st floor which means it would be rude to ever use the lift! That's got to help too! Little things!

Is it time for bed yet???? :o
