Yes you can!
I freeze it in bags. I then just take it out the night before and put it in a sucepan and heat on a low heat whilst stiring, sometimes i add cheese to it as it's heating.too :rolleyes:All comments and advice given is my own opinion and does not represent the views or advice of any debt advice organisation.

Thank you, brilliant idea.0 -
You don't even need to take it out the night before - zap it in the microwave, cook it on low in the oven or heat from frozen in a frying pan whenever you want mash. Just make sure you stir it well...
I usually cook loads of potatoes for mash when I get a new sack of potatoes, it's a bit tedious at the time but saves loads of time and effort when the kids are waiting for their tea. It's also really good to give to older relatives who find it hard peeling, cooking and mashing potatoes for one. My dad is a BIG mashed potato fan and when he was ill he really loved having some bags of proper mash in his freezer to heat and eat!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi Keza,
I'd defrost it over night in the fridge and bung in a hot oven for about 5 to 10 minutes, this should be enough time to heat the sausages through and crisp up the yorkshire with out burning it. Just check the sausage it hot in the middle before you eat.

I have found this is due to too much water being in the mash, you need to leave the potatoes to drain for a good while before mashing them in the first place, when they are still steaming it's too soon, the steam is water still on them, if you mash now you will mash the excess water into the mash iyswim:oAll comments and advice given is my own opinion and does not represent the views or advice of any debt advice organisation.
