Like Sally_M I have just received judgement in my favour against a builder for some £8,000 +.
Can I obtain a credit report (Experian?) to see if it is worth pursuing him further? The Land Registry says he is the joint owner of his house, but there is a restriction against it from the Official Receiver in the matter of a 2013 bankruptcy (maybe a company of which he was a director?). The Insolvency Service has no record of him being currently bankrupt.
BTW should he have been trading in 2013 whilst apparently bankrupt and yet having a bank account?
Obviously I can go through the court if he doesn't pay up, but I'd like to know if even this is worth while.

No you can’t obtain a copy of his credit report.
Have you contacted SallyM to see how far she got?

Yes he could continue to trade as a sole trader and have a bank account if any bank was willing to let him have one.
Bankruptcy restrictions prevent you being a director of or involved with the management of a limited company only.
I have to ask, when was the debt you sued for incurred by him? If he was made personally bankrupt in 2013 did this liability exist at that time?
The Insolvency Service remove bankruptcies from their register 3 months after they are discharged, so I would not expect his from 2013 to show.
It would however show here if you search: https://www.thegazette.co.uk/insolvencyFree/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
