  • Also, got an interview for a full time grown-up job in a couple of weeks - CROSS EVERYTHING!! If I get it, the debt is toast and it's my path to saving for a new car and my own home. So, you know, no pressure. :D

Just saying hello :hello: don't think we've met before Nora but your writings always make me smile! Keep up the good work! :D
Hello! *waves* It's always so lovely to meet new people around here and you say the kindest things *blushes*

I'm a chocolate straight from the fridge kinda girl, but I appreciate there are other opinions... plus I'm not a lover of caramel - so if you'd be good enough to have them all, that'd be great. Thankingyoumuchly. :D

  • Someone at work gave me 3 (count 'em - THREE) chocolate oranges as a thank you today. That's totally one of your five a day, right? ;)

I would happily have shared, but... erm...there was a chocolate orange thief in the fridge and CRIME OCCURRED!!!

Police say there are no clues or witnesses *stifles an orange-flavoured burp* ;)
  • So I'm back on the Broadband.

Massively underestimated how much I rely on it. Honestly, I have spent much and gained many inches borrowing the internet from various cafes that it's cheaper to pay for my own provision!!

So I went with Sky. No cashback deal (did check), but 12 month contract. Free unlimited Broadband, £16.40 line rental and £100 M&S voucher. So really, 12 month unlimited broadband and phone for less than £100.... I'm ok with that. :D

My interview for the good job was last week. No idea how I did, and unfortunately I won't hear for a while as it turns out they're waiting to interview one last person who isn't available until next week *sigh* I have no doubt I'm up against stiff competition, so fingers and toes crossed please! But I did the maths and worked out that if I got it, I'd be debt free with good savings within the first 12 months and able to buy my own home and a new car within five years. So, you know, not much riding on their decision. ;)

Anyhoo just trying to keep out of mischief while I wait.... *twiddles thumbs*

    How're you all?

    xx

Fingers crossed Nora. I've been job hunting too, had an interview with an agency last week, hoping to hear if the company want to interview me in the next few days, unfortunately in my case the salary is the same as my current one but the role is far far more interesting.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Ta muchly. There's a lot to be said for more interesting work - it's not all about the money. *crosses fingers and toes for Scubs*
    Fingers crossed for you.
