For the uninitiated, a potato surprise is a roast potato-sized potato which has been coated in a very light, pepper and spicy batter and fried like normal chips. They are the chip's potato (see what I did there) and I miss them.

I will certainly report back on the water meter, Missus A (6 dogs?!! I'm moving in!).

I might have headed to bed around 6pm last night :o I had a little awake time for tea and toast about 10pm, then slept through to the alarm this morning. And Lordy, do I feel good.

This is the trade off for expending lots of energy earlier in the week - plus I had to do an early start for work yesterday - which is fine, but because it's a big change in my routine, it tends to wipe me out. But I'm pretty impressed with my boing-back ability this week!

On an aside, isn't boing a fab word? Go on, say it aloud three times and try not to smile....:D

And my cheeriness this morning has nothing to do with the additional fact that I've only got a half day at work today. Nope. Nosireebob.

So, a whole afternoon in which I could do stuff. What will I do? I'm refusing to plan it, other than commit to doing stuff at home (and not sleeping it away). So we'll all just have to meet back here later to see what I did with my afternoon off!

    Have a good'un!

Kaydan we had from 5 weeks old a little mostly dachshund saved from the pound

Do you know what I did? Dropped off the bags to the charity shop, came home and watched the second series of Broadchurch back to back (never saw the first one, so I'd recorded the second one and have been meaning to get to it for ages), and then went out for dinner with a friend. Not the most active of afternoons - but a bloomin' lovely one nonetheless.

Today has been a little more active - I've mucked out horses, played with hounds, stripped two more bureau doors, finally done the washing up *whistles innocently*, ironed a load of clothing to pop onto ebay which I may or may not do tonight, sorted out two pieces of furniture which are going onto a local FB selling page, cleaned the bathroom and dealt with a potential order *crosses fingers and toes* and read two thirds of The Secret - which I've owned for years, but never read.

Now if nobody minds, I'm going to sleep for a week! :D

I mind. :p I vote for you to do my washing up too (I work in catering I do enough at work without doing my own here too.....)

Just got home from work, managed to walk nearly 5 miles without actually leaving the building over my 8 hour shift but am still convinced I've done nothing all day!

Wooh to sleeping lots and then getting loads done. It sounds like a 5:30pm bedtime is a great investment! I've been so tired recently I may try that!

Boing is a fantastic word. Makes me thing of Tigger and I LOVE Tigger! Boinging back abilities need to be added to your CV. It's an absolute skill that not many people have!

I'm also minding if you sleep for a week! We miss you when you're gone! MTx

well for goodness sake you think I do a lot - I really do need a sit down and a cuppa after reading that
I share my chocolate with you - I am sure you need some

is the bureau for you or do you get old furniture and revamp it to sell on - I know someone who does this picks stuff up a auctions for nothing then revamps them and they go onto the faceb00k selling page and she makes quite a lot for a nicely done piece of furniture

    have a lovely sunday evening

oh and if you liked the second series of broadchurch I think the first one was so much better :)

Erm....no....but thanks for the offer!! I'm not surprised you do so much walking - those sorts of jobs are hellish on the feet, aren't they. *slides over the foot massager*

Ooo, ta for the chocolate *snaffles everything in sight*.

The bureau is for me. I'm only just learning to do this sort of thing, and I've sold a piece previously - but to be honest, it's a labour of love rather than something I enjoy enough to do more regularly. After all, I started the bureau more than a year ago....

My next project is an old steamer trunk with hanging space on one side, and drawers on the other. It's gorgeous, and it's been patiently waiting for years!

So, today has largely been about catching up with myself. The house is tidy (ish)...well, when I say the house, I mean all but the room where I've stashed everything. ;)

I started the day baking, which is what happens when your body clock doesn't match the actual clock. Then went off to sort the horses, back to do a manic tidy before spending a lovely afternoon crafting with a mate. After a crafty cat nap, I've spent the evening listing stuff ebay. More to do, but that's plenty for today.

Well, that me being all achievement!

horses, breakfast and last lot of ebaying done. Lots to do around the house today - have to sort and clear out most of my work room in time for the delivery of a sofa bed coming from a friend tomorrow. Have you seen my workroom?! It's chaos!!!!!

True its a pretty active job, but I also work in a big old country manor house (built by a Chancellor in the 1720's) and was giving a tour to a group who had lunch so lots of stairs as well and lots of distance!

Yay for stuff done and the ebaying. Hope you get the chaos under control ready for the sofa bed arriving.
