Should I check my credit score now or wait a while, I've never had to do this before so don't know how it works. Will any checks show up immediately?0

Have you quoted the customer number to them from the delivery note? It will have one letter and seven numbers.
They might not be able to find you by your address as maybe your address has been registered as a third party address.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

You don't need your credit score, just a copy of your statutory report from Equifax, Exoerian and CallCredit (Noddle). Noddle is free so you should be able to gain access to that one straightaway, however it is usually the one which has least information on it so you need the other two as well for a complete picture. Each report costs £2 only.
If an account has been opened in your name the credit search will show up, so will the account.

Yes, I quoted that and they knew nothing, tbh though the person I was talking to didn't seem to understand what I was saying. She offered to send a courier to pick items up but as I had no account registered with them I didn't want that to happen as I feel the items are safer here than back in the depot and not taken off my 'account' . I'd like to be able to hand the items over when it's been noticed I've not paid for them rather than have to explain I don't know where they are as I sent them back.0

So when you quoted the number what did the advisor say?

Searched noodle and have credit score of 5/5, no recent searches on me. Even more confused now, surely a catalogue company would do a search before giving 'me' credit?0

As stated previously, this is precisely the reason why you need all 3 reports as not all companies report to all 3 agencies.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards.
