You put it into a phone(turning mobile data off firstly), send the text and when confirmed, place it into the unlocked dongle.

If you are thinking of getting 10GB for £15, you can afford the Osprey.

Ah ! you're right, reading initially I thought £20 was just the cost of the Osprey (without data)

    I'll get it soon :money:

so I checked and the video is 257 MB...what will I need just for it ? 2GB so it has a bit of leeway to speed up the upload as you said earlier?

The 2GB is nothing to do with speed it's the total data transfer up and down.

A 247MB movie would use a bit over that to upload as there would be the initial connection with the site hosting it plus small packets back called ACKs to confirm receipt of each sent packet of data. There could be some errors (NACKs) necessitating a retransmit too.

2GB should be more than adequate to upload it and then watch it to make sure it was OK.

From where will you get 2GB? The T-Mobile SIM gives you 1GB....which should do it, albeit slowly.

    What do you mean?

I'll just get the EE 6GB sim for that, sounds like the best option

kwikbreaks just said it will use more than 2GB... better go for the safer option

He didn't say that at all. I'm beginning to be concerned about your ability to read and comprehend...

If you are going to spend £15 on a 6GB data SIM, get the OSPREY instead!
Then you get a 4G mobile WiFi modem that will give you access you faster uploads...and downloads. Keep a couple of the T-Mobile SIMs as a backup for later months if money is tight.

Nifty's deals work out cheaper than mine (which is forced on me due to the location I use it as Norfolk hasn't yet been dragged into the 21st century internet wise.

The only think I'd emphasise checking is that the network you pick has good coverage where you intend to use it.

For cheapness I'd still be looking at free WiFi. It's everywhere and you can even upload from a phone if needs be - stand outside Maccy D's if you can't stretch to a Big Mac.

I got the wrong end of the stick. when he/she wrote

I thought that "over that"=the 2GB he/she was referring to earlier

sorry, a mix of English not being my native language and being fairly ignorant about IT

I'll get the Osprey as you suggest

@kwikbreaks, yeah I've been using McDonald's wifi a bit (I'm in Wetherspoons right now in fact ! ) but uploads are still painfully slow. Downloads seem to be really fast in general, I wonder why...

thanks for bearing with me guys
