I take your ASDA, and raise you https://www.snapfish.co.uk!
They are 16p for 6" x 4" print, which can fit 6 photos on and you can pick them up from jessops rather than getting them posted to you!
16p is 'express', which means it'll be ready within an hour of you ordering it online. You can opt for a 3 day wait and then it's only 9p!Entering competitions galore, not won anything yet!

i found at my uni that they just took a digital photo of me and printed it onto the card so i had a stack of preprepared photos that i didn't end up using!! so it may be worth checking that out!:happyhear0

Snap, instead of using my lovely posed pre taken photos, they took digital on the day for everything i needed. Hence why i am bright red, shiny faced and looking like a serial killer on my ID card0 -
I just take a photo of myself on a digital camera then resize it to passport size and print off about 30 on a piece of cheap A4 photo paper - they look identical to the ones you get out of machines.0

I always do this for passport photos for the family...especially as it's quite difficult to get the 4 year olds to sit still in a photo booth.
I then use free photo editing software to resize the photos to fit 8 pictures on one standard 6"x4" photo (this makes each picture the required passport size!).
It then costs about 5p (at my local Tesco) to get this one photo printed (containing 8 passport photos!), and the pictures are usually much better than the photo booths!!
If the photos are being used for passports, then they must be up to the following standard...

If your photos are for a passport, you must check they confirm to the passport office standards as they are extremely fussy. I got my daughter done in a photo booth in Tesco, but for some reason she took up too much space in the pic and the PO rejected it. I paid another £4 in the booth at the post office to get the pics done. (That was before I read this thread). They have a special measuring thingy behind the counter at the PO that they place over the pic to check its ok.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0
