  • I have been thinking about a plan of action for long term goals.

Pass Test (I may just scrape in for the end of April and can't wait to have that freedom)
Second Plan is to eventually work less moving forward (hopefully from a reformed workaholic)
Spend less where I can to work less.
Put the house up for sale and get in a position to move.
I have set a 6 month goal for the above so some things to work towards.

Just catching up with your diary. Congratulations on the job offer!
I can dig the 'spend less to work less' thing! It's a balance. You need enough to do the things you can enjoy, but if you're working TOO hard you can't actually enjoy things. I've been in both positions.
Six months is a decent time to declutter, settle in at work and find a nice new place :) This could be your year!

When you do put the house up for sale you will be so pleased you decluttered and organised as much as you have.

  • Thanks DIA
I'm in overwhelm at the moment just cleared out mums but still not fully.

Anything left could potentially go to house clearance. I have too much on and really decluttering is relentless 😁, then add new job and upcoming driving test. Don't do things by halves do I lol.
Will try to take a day to rest and go from there. Happy Easter 🐇🐰🐇💐

Hello Sam.  Lovely to see you back on here.  I've been AWOL for some time, but hopefully back for good now!

Congratulations on the new job.  Is it very different to your last job?  I definitely agree with working less and finding that life work balance.

I hope all is going well with clearing your Mum's place.  I'm so sorry about your Mum.

    Take care.

Sam, I totally support just getting house clearance if you need the brain space more than the money.  I had to get a company to shift something for me during my last move and I have honestly never been happier to hand over cash, it was worth every penny - even though I tipped them extra for what turned out to be a 15 minute job for them - as it was such a relief to get it sorted.

Still got fingers crossed for your driving test

I agree with the house clearance idea. I use a slobcomeclean and she is great at helping me look at what my objective is. It is rarely 'make money' over get the stuff out of the house. (Although money is obviously nice)

  • So much harder to do than I thought and of course as I'm not ready the market has gone crazy.

I think you are all right, that it's not worth the stress when I can pay someone to ease that pressure.

Tired of being time poor I think. New job is just a job rather than a career - but I don't think that will hurt me to do for a while.

Keep telling myself no future in the past so that makes things a little easier.

  • So I've thrown my April budget out the window lol, I am hemorrhaging money but that is life.  :p

Only in training at work B) so easy start plus working from home - just what I need for a while until I settle in, Happy days.  :D

House sale paperwork completed - go me!

Hopefully that will save me a lot of stress in the future.

I have family issues but I'm just ignoring as much of it as I can for now.

I've booked a couple of driving lessons before my test just for a confidence boost.

Feeling a little less overwhelmed now.

Really need some sunny days to lift me I think :-)

Food from freezer so little thought and effort required  :#
