  • Just been through my ebay history and looks like I have a habit I have purchased approx £75 a month of things for the last 8 months.. All sorts really mainly gifts so when I've finished my sales I am going to knock that on the head. We really don't need more stuff and I have the final birthdays of the year covered. I do have to move on to Xmas shopping but only 8 people to buy for.

  • I guess that's the temptation with ebay...you go on to sell but end up shopping!!! When I emigrated I used Facebook Shop - it was so handy as everyone could pick up in person, as it displays by where you are based. I always found posting stuff on Ebay such a hassle....I do wonder though what my neighbours thought as I sold literally EVERYTHING I owned, and there were 4-5 men coming and giving me cash every day for about a month.....:)

That's a huge trendy lifestyle choice these days so you were a trendsetter. I've had a funny life I've had it all then nothing, but now I'm somewhere in between and happy. I am the family atm as I'm a saver in a world of spenders, so this is something I've really got to strive to change. Value what money can't buy you which is your health and those you love.

  • Having your own car does make a huge difference living anywhere outside of the big cities, it's the main reason I learned as I knew I couldn't realistically managed in the places I want to live without one.  Also a great stress relief when anybody needs urgent appointments etc as no need to worry about taxi availability and attitude to ill people.  Good luck house hunting - that's you me and DIA now, it's like a sort of MSE reunion :D

  • Rosa, I can't wait for a car :) will let you know when my test is (when I know)
House will be next year but that will come round soon enough. So exciting for all of us in these odd times.

Deleted my watch list on 3bay. Made a rough present list for the 8 for Xmas so that's all calculated.
Just checking my accounts now for the week ahead. Lots of chasing people up this week which is so frustrating! 😤

  • Had a good day I think  :# lots of sales so £200 for Sept.
Grocery budget is a PITA trying to keep under £30 a week and mainly eating from cupboards and freezer. There are only 6 items left in the freezer (!) pantry OK. Don't have any soups thou and winter is coming.
I did my wardrobe a la capsule style but I'm gutted, 40 on hangers, 10 knocking about. This doesn't include the 20 handbags and shoes I have. So I guess I'm going to season split rather than having a year round one. I think it's still quite a lot. That doesn't include nightwear, undies, or swimwear or the coord tracksuit I had on 😂

I looked at a closet/style app but I'm on android so think that's a no for me at the moment. So some pairing down to do, re-washed and refreshed a few winter things like trainers and dressing gowns so they smell fresh /are nice when I need them. I'm currently thinking about a fleece/fur blanket and not sure I can hold off until Xmas gifting so not very MSE today. Also need grey trainers (want not need) to blend with the rest of the capsule wardrobe but those can wait.
Not much else, paying things off and shuffling money around.
