Particularly the bit from MT about rebelling against restrictions - I still do thisonly now I build in a little slack to the budget to allow for it. I suggest considering the tiny detours as a self-correction process that still keeps you on your route
- you're just setting out and you will get there

£7 is nothing I can spend that on chocolate
I know when you are trying to get debt free every penny seems to count - but it doesnt you have to allow yourself in a little slack
how about the amount you can pay only pay 75% from the debt and put the rest in a pot somewhere for spends if its still there when you hit £20 then start sending it all to debt
honestly I am debt free but teetering on the edge - so why last month did dh and I spend nearly £200 on stuff we could have saved for and waited for - a garden bench of all things not in the sale and far too cold to go and sit on at the moment -
we ALL do it just be much kinder to yourself - you are NOT letting yourself down no matter what you think - you are in fact recharging yourself for the next fight - the war will be one even if a few battles are lost

Oh no Sam! Rubbish week in store for you with crappy work week and PP holding onto your money while stopping your cheap deals! It's so frustrating!
I hope, by the time you read this that it's all sorted and we'll laugh and laugh and laugh about the foolishness of some of the staff at PP and how they mistook the name Sam for Scam and put a hold on your account !!!!!Or maybe not because it really is an utter pain!
Hurry back! I look forward to your updates. MTx0 -
Should get home by 10.30pm tonight I hope

DebtfreeWanabee - I love your enthusiasm:D
Thank you all for kind posts as always...
Ok I am shattered
No let up on the work front ...I always have so much to do so ( wait for it ) I have started saying noand await the consequence of doing such
Bay of fleas front was going well apart from ultra fussy people moaning ...my good condition is like new so I do get frustrated with people wanting new for used ..I mean we all like a bargain I do get that but really some people have such high expectations they will never be happy.
Annoyed as have just offered refund as I can't be doing with the stress of my first neg .. for little reason other that this person wants something for nothing actually not nothing at cost to me.
Up together with the posting etc but I have truly exhausted my love of getting things sold...
Going to do some cleaning soon ...if that naughty old bed of mine doesn't try to tempt me back in at 4.30am ..:rotfl: longingly glances at bed and thinks mmmmmm
Still up and down on the emotions and if I'm honest I cant remember what happy feels like but I will work on that one.
MT - Am looking very much like a snake head as my hair needs cutting so that will have to be factored into the budget somewhere. Look what a good influence you are on me
Its been so cold I still have the gas on here and therethat is a consequence of being a skinny mini...I would rather pay less gas and be warm from body fat as its cheaper lol
I'm up so early to get organised as away with work ..
The plus side of work is 3 course meals Fri - Mon and I hope the hotel I am in has a bath ( fingers and toes crossed ) so if I pack some nice bits and bobs bubbles etc - I should be able to enjoy this in the evenings over bank hols ..poor me having to work weeks in a row but hopeful this will save me some cash as kept busy:A
May do another update later after doing some Flylady tasks...although have come to the conclusion tying two dusters round slippers to clean floor while I make myself a coffee is a crazy fool idea ...
Have a lovely time everyone and keep up the debt busting :T

Hi Sweetie
*slides over enormous Easter egg with only minor nibble marks*
I'm crossing my fingers for your nice clean, warm hotel room with a lovely comfortable bed, a bath and maybe even some dishy company. (shh, don't tell MT!).
On the happy front, it's weird but I've become a lot happier since I stopped trying so hard to *be* happy. Does that make sense? I think my idea of what happy looks like has somehow changed over the years, so now it's more about those moments when my whizzy head (totally pinched that term from Mrs A!) is quiet and I can take a deep breath and just be in the moment. Of course, in my life you have to be careful where you're taking a deep breath or you end up with a nose full of horse poo stink!!
And I feel your pain on the ebay side. I had my first 'average' rating a few weeks ago and was mortified! The item was (in the buyer's own words) "great", postage and packaging were free and I posted it out using the royal mail service and timeframe I'd clearly stated. I was even polite when he chased delivery the very next day after I'd posted it. Some people are very deserving of the Lego-piece-under-the-foot curse!
Anyway, I digress. Mostly I'm here to offer big hugs for work horribleness, virtual chocolate and a general cheery 'woo!' for your fly ladying. Did you know that servants of old used to have actual shoes with dusters/brushes on the soles to help clean the floors? So your plan's not so daft....just maybe not with the hot coffee, eh?

Update in hotel ...and happy eaten far to much which seemed a good idea at the time now am not so sure.
About 70£ in Sales so happy with thatalthough that's about 22 items...very little left to sell now
but will keep finding ways and things to get rid off hopefully.
I do wonder if I shouldn't sell everything that isn't nailed down I mean really do I need it all.
Anyway something for me to think about maybe I will get a box and fill it and tape it up and if I haven't had to open it to get out the item it could go up for sale...???
Think I still have £money in the bank
Just paid an extra £70 off bills although this mainly covered interestas I miscalculated before ... stupid stupid me..
Going to calculate actual debts again just to check and total up and do new SOA soon
Total now £3400 but I might pay a pound off so that this brings the total down under lol £3399 just sounds better .
Maybe next month I will be £2999 lol
Cash left for the month ideally will be £400 so I am going to need to plan that very carefully to "make it work"
Checked and paid my fees this month am in credit there :P
I need to make sure I am not losing money on postage .I must make my minimum £3.88 to make sure I don't do it for nothing. Buy the time I post an item of clothes, pay the fees on postage and buy the bag ..that amount Just about covers it.Grocery challenge Feb £107/£100-epic fail due to cake and biscuits

3999 is psychologically brilliant
I do worry about all you young ones feeling the need to be happy
Sam please make a list of all the things you know have made you happy in the past
Then sort them into things that cost nothing like sitting on a bench in the park with a sarnie and a book and things that cost like going into town and spending money
This journey is so very very hard for all of us but sometimes I do think the younger you are the harder it is. All your friends are spending and having fun but are more than likely in debt
As a young couple with two small children we got into debt for two reasons
I insisted my dh paid as much as was possible to support his son then our lives changed and there was not so much money coming in but we wanted to keep supporting son as much as possible then spiralling debt YOU however are doing something about it now but it's so so hard
When you have done your list I want you to write all the free ones on bits of paper put them in a bag and pull them out as you need a treat do what it says do something for YOU with the things that cost stick it where you will see it and every time you get enough in you PayPal decide which you NEED to do take it off a bill or treat yourself or half and half
You need to live please don't deny yourself a life
And just remember how well you are doing and allow yourself to accept praise and praise yourself too
