Which browser is best?

I have had the same problem with FF and thought it was just my PC glad to see its not just me. I went with Chrome and that seems to be ok for me. I may try the re instal method mentioned though. Thanks0

Why use one browser? I use three, Firefox and Chrome on Windows and Chrome mobile in Virtualbox. I use Chrome only to so surveys and watch flash videos, because Flash works better in Chrome. Firefox for secure sites (online banking, gmail, yahoo mail, etc) and Chrome Mobile under Virtualbox to check mobile-only offers.0

I have been using PaleMoon for quite a while and like the way it does not follow FF. It has the status bar available and can be enabled/disabled depending upon preference. I like having extensions on the status bar such as a clock, email etc etc etc etc lol CPU optimizations, there is a build using AVX instructions and PM has a minimum CPU requirement which is higher than the work with anything that FF uses.
I also always start with profile manager and wouldn't dream of having that auto start because I use many profiles depending upon the browsers application such as banking and secure purchases kept separate from general browsing.
I dislike Opera, I don't like the way it creates so many processes, one for each tab. I would have over a 1000 processes, I doubt many browsers would cope with the quantity of tabs that I use.0 -
All you're doing there is moving your old profile to a new folder so Firefox creates a clean one for you.
Rather than moving files manually, running "firefox -p" (as I suggested above) will display the Profile Manager, allowing you to manage multiple profiles more conveniently.Would MozBackup do the same thing??0 -

Then why would you suggest messing around with profiles by manually moving the files yourself when there's a tool provided to do that automatically, in a nice simple GUI interface that works really well?!
The Profile Manager allows you to create a new profile, which is exactly the same kind of "clean slate" that you're talking about.0 -

When faced with a task as simple as this, a GUI is a waste of my time and frankly insulting. I don't need to download and run a program to backup Mozilla when I can do it in less than 5 seconds without the aid of "a nice simple GUI interface" - just navigate to folder and copy.0 -
Used to swear by Firefox but since getting a chromebook I've moved over to chrome on my other 2 laptops, its also on my phone. Very stable and great add ons/apps. IE is just pants!0

By restoring this copy you are absolutely guaranteeing that you are given back exactly what you left. Meddling with profiles does only adds to the clutter by creating another profile.

Of course you're "messing about" with profiles -- you're moving the profile folder! By using the Profile Manager you are separating your profiles, completely untouched and unmodified. By selecting a particular profile you are absolutely guaranteeing that you are given back exactly what you have left.
What you are doing creates a new default profile -- exactly the same as using the GUI. So why not use it?! It's quicker to type "firefox -p" than to navigate to folders in Windows Explorer and cut-and-paste.0 -
It depends on your system. Chrome is actually the browser that takes up the most working memory. I used to have a slow laptop that wrecked every time I used chrome.
So if I am using an older system I will probably use firefox, but I prefer chrome when its running smoothly.0 -

I'm not the sort of person who uses tools to do the most basic of tasks. That's why I don't use a GUI to backup my Firefox profile, instead I have a little batch file which backs up settings of multiple programs in about 5 seconds with one click. "But you're making things quicker and easier," I hear you sigh. Yes, but I put in the work of creating what I know is a reliable method.0
