  • Never heard of those tyres - the sound like ditchfinders to me and they do get poor reviews on the Internet. I'd start by getting a new set of decent tyres at the front and get the wheel alignment checked at the same time.

Also look to see if the tyres are over width, despite old wives tales, a few extra CM on tyre width can reduce grip in wet and snow as you have less pressure on the foot print.
The compromise between bone dry handling and poor wet grip is choosing the correct width of tyre.
Winter tyres can also have twice as much grip on cold days.
I agree, try some better tyres.
I do Contracts, all day every day.
  • Thanks for that yeah i wasnt sure about the tyres can someone recommend me some decent affordable tyres?
  • What do you class as affordable? My wife has had firestone and uniroyal on her car which have both been ok. I've got Hankook tyres on my car which also work well. Not the cheapest but not expensive either.
  • I'll check out some on net
    Thanks again everyone
I will update this when i get new tyres.

Are you sure your tyre pressures are right? It seems unusual to me for both front and rear to be the same, I'd expect a front wheel drive front engined car to need higher pressures on the front wheels. I've never been a Vauxhall owner but I can't recall any of my cars that had the same pressure all round.

Shows the Vectra having F&R at the same pressure unless you have a huge lump under the bonnet.

My Focus has the same F&R as did my last 3 cars.

OP, your serious, you think that anyone can make a car, never mind a modern fwd, designed for safety to understeer, perform a 180 degree turn at precisely 19mph?
