However, slightly confused which F word I used! Just for clarification I think I'm going to say it again - it is "forgot"?!?!? If not, I'm completely baffled as I've scanned my posts for other words beginning with F!!!

And yes I do find Noodle slow - had an email to say my account was up to date but like you it was end of Dec! However, my score has gone from 3/5 to 4/5!

No it is the other F word. Fail. Shudder. We dont do Failing on MSE do we, we just have set backs & then carry on being amazing & much better than the average joe at sorting our situations out. I'll get off me soap box:p

Haven't posted in a little while, but have been consciously being thoughtful regarding spending money. Had a good sensible spends January after a horrendously expensive December!

Put some washing on line - sunny but v v cold
Prep birthday tea - chicken fajitas
Get a little more OU studying done
Check banking vs spreadsheet is on track
Book shopping slot on mysupermarket, and order later tonight
    Sort strategy for teenager

Thanks Bobarella - I'll remember to watch my language!

Just read this article, quite old but still interesting particularly the quote “Guys, after your mortgage, the second largest amount of money you’re going to spend in your life is what you spend in your supermarket.” Wow - never thought of it that way! Haven't watched the video as I'm actually at work!

    Afternoon everyone!

Been failing a little the last few days but on the other hand some great savings as well. Slowly getting their! Squeezed everything out off my money this week, then the school send a letter home asking for £2 for a school disco! £2 I don't have, had a chuckle as they do this everytime I'm poor. It wouldn't be so bad if they gave you a weeks notice not two days!! I do have a piggy bank though, if I turn it upside down and shake it for a hour some money will come out :-|

    Hi All

Had a wildly busy day. Just completed a massive block of work. Now just hoping all done right and doesnt need any adjustments. I love my clients, they do such interesting things.

Should have been an NSD here but I ended up buying lunch, so £5 spent. Well worth it, was cold adn hungry.

Dinner from fridge tonight. Tomorrow should be a NSD and Fri so feeling like I am doing OK, as long as I dont suddenly relapse.

Conference season coming up, 2 in 2 weeks and both in stunning good shopping places. Cardiff and Chester, Oh Dear! Am going to leave with no time to spare and have to rush home early back to the office. That should control me. Wierdly do not feel tem, pted, am enjoying being frugal at the moment.:rotfl:

    Have a good day everyone.:T

    Good grief it is cold!

Just been to see the horse and his therapist turned up (unexpected to me, she sorts it out with the yard owner and to be fair normally I'm working!) so ended up stood still for two hours. Even in ski gear, my fingers are barely working.

Today was a spend day - we went to the cafe for lunch, and then I bought a new journal from WH Smiths. It was quite pricey at £13.99 but I have had my old one since 2009 and had a few pages left. I use the journal to get things off my chest, think "out loud", work through issues etc when I maybe don't want to talk to a real person about it but shouldn't bottle up. Doing that helps me to sleep so I see it as a worthwhile investment!

I need to nip out later and fill my car up ready for tomorrow. It has 130 miles left in the tank and that's just less than my journey so won't take the risk.
