New Drivers Must Read On Insurance!

I'm a 19 year old male and I've just passed my driving test.
I have a 1.4 Rover 200. Last week (before I passed my test) I went onto www.quinn-direct.com and insured my car on a provisional license for £700. Very good I think as other quotes for like £1,300!
When I passed my test I expected my premium to go up but when I phoned them they said the premium remained at £700. I couldn't believe it! All the other insureres were charging at least £1,300!
So, if your a new driver, get your car insured online at www.quinn-direct.com, say you have a provisional license. After, phone them and say you made a mistake and you have actually passed and you should get a cheap premium.
Let me know what happens!

not a good idea. Insurance companies are not thick, it could mean they will refuse to insure you and you will find it harder to get ather insurance and it is fraud. Don't do it!0 -
it's worthy of note that quinn direct are normally a fair bit cheaper for young drivers than other people anyway...0

Giving false information to an insurance company is not a clever thing to do, it could invalidate your cover leaving you uninsured.0 -
We don't know how much they charge if you are quoted with a new full licence - does the OP have this data? Otherwise it could just be they are cheaper for new drivers.0

That is the case with all or most compainies, some even go up when you have passed, this is because when you are a learner you will always have someone in the car with you, when you pass you won't.Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.0

A word of warning on Quinn: My OH had a nightmare time trying to get his proof of no claims off them when he insured with them, took us four months and threat of legal action before they complied. Yes they're cheap, but their customer services sometime leave a bit to be desired."All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.

My sis didn't renew with Quinn's last month (cos she got rid of her car) they sent her no claims proof out next day. So maybe they've sorted their CS out now. When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.0

You shouldn't need separate "proof of no claims". Your renewal notice should state how many years' no claims bonus the renewal price includes, and that is sufficient proof for most insurers.0

What sort of d!ck are you going to sound like saying you have a provisional license then phoning back later saying "Oh sorry I made a mistake, I have passed my test but I forgot" :rotfl::heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
