I had a WEM too yesterday. We are going Easter weekend and decided to drive. Works out a lot cheaper than flying plus we'll have a few stops on the way :)

Thought I'd mention to the winners that the kids ski equipment isn't included

Thanks Calash. we just found this out too. Not sure why in our original email they asked if our children had their own equipment or not?

7 days time and we'll be at the airport on the way to start the trip to St Moritz. Snow reports look like the resort is getting decent snow fall this week fingers crossed it continues.

    Yeah we're driving
  • We're flying, havent got the time to drive there as the kids are in school, We've enquired about skiing lessons and have put our names down for the community ski lessons but they need at least 4 in the group to go ahead (no way could we afford the private ones!) So if any of you have been skiing before and she spot a hapless Manc falling all over the place come over and give me a few tips!

I was told by hotel that skiing lessons are for adults and children?? Lessons are on Saturday and Sunday! We are staying at San Gian x

Definitely dont get lessons for adults at our hotel Kempinski, they've even just sent me a 'special offer' that works out more expensive for half the amount of time that another member of staff had already sent me details of! (and i'd been put on waiting list for) Original price 150-200ch for the weekend per person for 9.30-15.45 'offer price' 120ch per day 10.00-1.00 ...

Does anybody know what time the children's ski lessons operate between? I may have to go with the dearer option if they finish early

We are staying at the Kempinski too. But only having lessons for the kids. found that ski hire from nearby ski shop was bit cheaper than hotel price for adults. Not sure about the ski storage either as looks like you might have to pay to store boots and ski's each night?

We started our trip today. Currently nice and sunny in Germany but snow reports seems good for St Moritz at the moment.
