Please advise - new contract from Carphone Warehouse, can I change my mind?

That is correct, the "more information" is what must be done.

Items bought at Carphone Warehouse stores can be returned or exchanged at any Carphone Warehouse store, but not at Samsung Experience Stores. Similarly, items bought at Samsung Experience Stores can only be returned or exchanged in a Samsung Experience Store.

I would cut the simcard in half on return just to be sure you don't accidently use it again after return.

Just an update, I took the phone back to Carphone Warehouse today, they took it back with no arguments, took all of five minutes.

Ordered a phone from the shop in Burnley, drove 50 miles to pick it up.. seal was broken, they blamed me for the broken seal, now I have to go back to see a manager after I want a refund, another 100 mile trip.. they keep trying to talk me into accepting the unsealed box.. I want a new phone not a box I can’t establish the history of the contends, could be second had for all I know..
