Awww, those photos are amazing. They're so cute. I've never seen an axolotl before but they look a bit like fairies. Isn't it wonderful what can be achieved by removing the stigma of MH issues and asking?

    Yes please, HBS!

Axolotls look amazing in real life, like little toys. They honestly look like they came straight out of a Disney film.

I am 3 for 3 so far with places to visit, although I know that eventually somewhere will say that they can't accommodate me. All I can do is be totally honest about my situation and ask if they mind me visiting complete with blanket, although that hasn't been necessary so far as everywhere has been empty. If places do refuse though I won't give up, I will try somewhere else. My hope is to visit somewhere once a month, it really does make me so much happier and gives me something to look forward to. So far everyone has been incredibly kind and I have loved every minute! People can be so lovely.

Its great that so many places are willing to accommodate you and let you have these great experiences.

Did you think when you started the other thread that a few months later, you'd be here visiting santa, feeding llamas and cuddling pingu?

I honestly never did. I couldn't have imagined I would be doing this even 6 months ago! It is thanks to everyone here that I became brave enough to ask, previously I wouldn't have dreamed of explaining my difficulties to others. One of the things this thread has done is stopped me feeling ashamed of my illnesses, now I think it can't hurt to ask, if I don't ask I will never get the chance to experience new things!

Hahahahaha! They didn't jump in the end! They followed me around on land instead!

  • Hahahahaha! Not me, she's dry! As is obvious from the photo of me cuddling Roger they all kept diving in the water and getting wet and then snuggling up. I was damp to say the least by the end of the hour!

It does make me laugh that they all have ordinary human names, there was a Jeff, Malcolm, Anna and Tina, too.
