it's still wrong, callchecker figures are well out of date
mse callchecker says bt evening calls are 1.05p/min (15.71p connection), daytime calls 7.95p/min (15.71p connection)
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/utilities/2014/08/bt-confirms-up-to-65-price-hike-from-december
Calls to UK landlines and 0870 numbers – 9.58p/minute, up from 9p/minute (6.44% increase).
unlimited weekend calls terms
Provides inclusive calls of up to an hour to UK* numbers during Weekends. Calls made during Weekends in excess of an hour and of any duration during Evenings and Daytime will be charged at 9.58 pence per minute. Standard rates apply to calls to mobiles. Calls to mobiles and chargeable UK* calls are subject to a 15.97p set-up fee.
the 'subtle' dropping of evening rates on the standard weekend plan means a 60 minute weekday evening call to a uk landline call costs £5.91 not 79 pence, a significant difference.0 -
Does anyone from mse monitor this section?
2 months, nothing has changed.0 -
Hi windup,
We do monitor it, but unfortunately providers frequently change their data and it can take a little while for our technical team to fix it. Apologies for that but we have now looked into it. It should be fixed shortly.
Hope that helps.

102 days later, no change.
A pricing tool that isn't updated is useless, and misleading, BT prices 1.05p/min 7.95p/min etc used in the callchecker are nearly 3 years out of date and don't reflect the lack of evening calling plans at all.

It should take MSE staff only a few minutes to check if something on their site is right or wrong.
If it is wrong and can be easily fixed, they should do it - there & then.
If it is wrong and can't be fixed easily, because it involves software changes and they don't have the staff to do it, then at the very least a comment to that effect should be put up on the tool.
If they are unable even to put a comment on to the tool, then it should be taken out of use until it has been fixed.

Hi Megan .:)
Could you ask the team to look at the Flight Checker too please .
I reported it last September & it's still not working properly , I gave up trying in the end.

Clear Call Rates for Everyone takes effect at midnight tonight.
Call prices for all 084, 087, 09 and 118 numbers will need to be updated as well as adapting everything to the new split charge system.0 -
Waste of time pointing it out, BT figures are still wrong after 158 days and three promises.
Adding a disclaimer is easier than changing 1.05 to 9.58 seemingly, that's a glitch that costs consumers money, so the lack of interest by mse is surprising.0
