    Send them some of the plastic too. If they need to investigate where it's come from it might be easier to narrow down.

    Burn it see what it smells like.
    Brother thought he had piece of finger nail in pudding, looked and felt 100% like a trimmed nail - would have put money on it.
    Burnt and smelt of plastic, fell off the rim of pot the pudding was microwaved in.
