Housing benefit query

I need some advice, I currently live in rented accommodation which is a 3 bedroom house and because of my disability I receive DLA and I am also receiving another benefit because I have been put in the support group and my rent and council tax is also paid by the state. I receive the higher rate Mobility and Middle rate care, My grandson and daughter also live in rented accommodation elsewhere, she works full time and her income is around £17000 pa. My quetion is if she comes to live with me I know it will effect the Housing benefit I get at present but will she be expected to pay it all along with the council tax?

as long as your daughter isn't a joint tenant, she will be treated as a 'non dependant'. as you receive DLA care, there will not be any reduction in your housing benefit for a non dependant.
if you receive income related ESA and live alone, you would be getting the severe disability premium because of your DLA award.
if this is the case, the premium would stop if your daughter moves in. this would be a loss of £61 a week0 -
When I was re-assessed a year ago for ESA I was moved from Incapacity to the support group
Another question is what would happen if she were a joint tenant?0 -
as the only tenant, you are the only one with liability to pay the rent.
if your daughter was a joint tenant, she would be liable for her portion of the rent.

So in short if she comes and lives here I could still continue receiving HB in full? or I could get her added to the tennancy and she would have to pay two thirds for her and my grandson0

this is correct. These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0 -

I think I have finally sorted this out now? but just need a bit of clarification. I have managed to get both names added to the tenancy as a joint tenants so do I assume this is correct or do I need a separate tenancy agreement. Sorry its been so long but the landlady lives abroad and has only just popped back to the uk. Also when I make my claim I am presuming I only claim for 1/3rd of the rent? as my daughter who is the joint tenant with me has a 13 year old son. Thank you0
