I'm a bit out of it, I know, but what are the accents that are considered 'cool' nowadays

Her and her friends try and talk with a northen accent or scottish... Why i dont know but it drives me MAD!!!!! LOL0 -
Hi, I have just read this correctly, and I take it you do mean your MUM said to your daughter to shout s*it??
If so I am gobsmacked, I am not surprised your younger sister behaves the way she does when she has a mother like that, I am sorry to seem to be slagging off your mum but has this woman no self respect, does she seem to think its funny teaching young children to swear.
I am by no means an angel with my children but I do know what is right and wrong and what is common sense. If any of my children shouted a bad word in public and they knew what they were doing I would seriously tell them off.
It doesnt look like it will ever be resolved with your mum and sister as your mum is just as bad as your sister and without any support or understanding from your mum your never going to get through to her.
Sorry I cant give any real advice to you, but it looks like you have your head screwed on with regards to how to bring up your daughter and keep at it.
Good luck
Yep my mum told my 6yo dd to shout s*it on a ride in a theme park. I was a little cross with my dd as well because SO many times i have told her that i dont care who tells you to say naughty words you just ignore them or tell them that mummy does not let you say words like that! But it seems everytime they tell her to say something she does it! I see no other option but to cut contact as whenever i tell them to not do it,(ive asked calmly and shouted) they just dont listen!0 -

Oh well, I could easily talk with a Northern accent to them - the accent of the Yorkshire Dales which is what I grew up with. I can guarantee it would put them off - they wouldn't understand a word of it! Which is why I had to learn the Queen's English when I went to Grammar School.
I love the English language and I think it's something we should be proud of. All right, Shakespeare used swear-words, like wh*r*son, but he used a lot of beautiful language as well.
We had to learn chunks of the Old Testament in primary school and that 17th century language still resonates. They don't do that now. I don't know what language they do learn.
