Can insurance company claim it was a "low impact crash after paying out for 3k damage

That was never your choice, but the police should have.

If you were injured at the time and told them they should have attended the accident.

Sorry but I don't buy this. As soon as alcohol was involved, I doubt the police would of waited until "the next day" to visit the TP. They would of investigated the possibility of the TP being over the limit at the time of the incident.

Being straight with you I think the events you told the police are different to what is being posted on here.

I have experience of the Mets suspect behaviour but don't believe they didn't have a rat to attend an injury rta with a drink driver.
