Hi, Just google bank charges bank charges.0

The OFT should have been more aware of the outcome of the claims and not sent every one on a refund spree.
If the banks do win. you have half the country with refunds and the other half in the poo, together with extra costs involved.0 -
i fear if the banks should win, its going make them far too powerful.. i feel they will try getting all the money back , the money they have paid out to customers and barristers..maybe putting up the overdraft charges.
i wonder how many of us now feel the OFT has bitten of more than it can chew.......0 -

I think this is one of the crucial parts of the case. It seems the Banks suspected they were on dodgy ground with the charges and within a few weeks of each other, all of them issued new T&C's proclaiming the charges to be a service.
Before this point, banks were telling customers they had broken the T&C's when they go overdrawn without agreement etc. Now they say, the customer isn't breaking the conditions, but requesting an informal overdraft.0 -

It's very unlikely they will get back any of the money already paid out. All of the refunds were made as 'Gestures of good will' and admitted no liability on the part of the bank. It would be difficult to ask for this back, even if they did win.0 -

I am inthe same position as you.. i put my claim in with natwest only a couple of days before this test case! Although my claim was only for £400, but has since gone up... it is just mainly over drawn fees of £28 a timeI:coffee:

Hi,
You will both have to wait until the initial case is over,This doesn't mean any monies claimed will be paid then, just that you or all of us will have a better idea of the next step forward.
This might be in the middle of February.0 -
