Hey Folks,
The kids' high school uses Office 365 for email, word, excel & PowerPoint and are encouraging the kids to use their own tablets in school during lessons to complete work. My little 'un has got an iPad Mini but I want to get here something with a bigger screen to work on.
Can any of you good people recommend which tablets are best equipped for office 365? Not bothered about other features as we're all iPaded up for everything else

All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.

Tesco had a deal of a free years Office 365 with their Hudl2 so i would assume their Hudl2 is compatible.0

I can't understand why you would use Office on a tablet rather than a laptop or a desktop pc, with a proper keyboard and mouse? Seems gimmicky to me to be honest.
But having said that, I don't think a hudl2 is going to be a lot larger than an ipad mini, so I don't think it will be a lot better.0 -

It's not my choice to use a tablet - the school want to work that way.All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0 -
Maybe you could connect up a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.0

Not the cheapest option, but have a look at Asus' Windows Transformer Books - essentially tablets with a detachable keyboard.
E.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/T100TAF-BING-DK024B-Transformer-10-1-inch-Convertible-1-33GHz/dp/B00PSFY3AU/ref=sr_ob_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1422389013&sr=8-1
Or a proper laptop that just happens to have a small touchscreen, such as this

I'm not shilling Asus stuff by the way, they just happen to make a lot of good stuff in this niche of the market

No, I don't think they did.Tesco had a deal of a free years Office 365 with their Hudl2 so i would assume their Hudl2 is compatible.
Office 365 on Android tablets is still in preview/ testing mode, so I think it's really unlikely that Tesco were selling test software on Hudl2s. Maybe they will eventually, but not yet.

Tesco are, however, offering a year of Office 365 on their Connect tablet.

But that's a completely different operating system to a Hudl - quite an important distinction.
Being a Windows tablet the Connect will run the full-fat version of Office that you get on a Desktop, but as such, it isn't really designed to be easy to use with a small screen.0 -
A full-size iPad.
All of the apps on the mini still work on that too.0 -
