When I was 9 I discovered a book of dirty poems & limericks hidden in my parents bedroom:eek: , I re-typed them on the computer & sold them at school for 8p per poem!:rotfl: Dad wasn't amused when he found out how much ink I had used printing out mutiple copies but he was impressed with how much money I had made!

I recall my son and pal setting up a 'cinema' ..... if there was a video due back at the shop later that day from his or our family ( one that was suitable !!), a show was arranged. The local kids were invited in ...at a price. Then they sold juice and bisuits at half time!!!

I made some of these last night. Unfortunately, the first lot to go in the oven got left in a little too long. As they wern't ruined but not perfect - I felt obliged to eat most of them. Second lot to go in were not overcooked but a bit too thin - obviously needed to eat most of these too. Third and fourth lot were perfect obviously too full to eat these. My son this morning asked is this all there is? he helped make the dough but went to bed whilst it was still chilling. I told him some were over cooked na dsome too thin without mentioning I'd manged to scoff a load. There really rich and more ish. I think I might add some lemon to the next batch. thanks again for the recipe -0

Great recipe - thanks :-)
DD helped me make Every Day Biscuits this afternoon - turned out great; they are (were!!) delicious.
Thinking of variations for next time that my 2 fussy eaters will like - could probably add an ounce or two of oats??0 -
When I were a lad, my school was in the middle of nowhere with no shops for miles around. A couple of entrepreneurial boys started buying chocolate bars, coke cans etc in bulk and bringing them in in big bags to sell on at a profit at playtime. When the teachers got wind of this it was 'banned' for no good reason as far as I could see. Probably leftie teachers wanting to discourage business initiatives in Thatcher's Britain!'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper.' Quentin Crisp0

A friend's son buys sweets on BOGOF at his local store then sells them both at school for the full asking price each. 100% profit per "item" bought.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
