Cucumber - channel 4 at 9:00pm - Gay drama - Good or a flop?

Channel 4 aired there first episode of cucumber last Thursday - a gay drama involving a death, a threesome, two police cars and Bony M. Did anyone watch??? Gripping stuff???? positive images of black / gay / middle aged men???? or two much body parts, too much sex before 11pm, and a flop???

It felt like a watered down version of Queer as Folk. Don't get me wrong, I loved Queer as Folk and it was what we needed when it aired about 15 years ago to push the boundaries. I feel like Russell T Davies has not kept up with other writers and that other people are telling the stories that he wants to tell in a much better way now.
